Alternate jersey for 2009?
Per Seahawk Addicts. I thought this might be an April Fools joke, but they are even on the official site. I don't know about the rest of you, but I find these pretty hideous.
This color even looks less like the neon piping the jerseys have now, and more like the green that ridiculous soccer team wears.

Uni Watch mentioned this earlier and seemed to think that it was official.
I love the color. Looks great on both the ’Hawks and the Sounders.

Wow, I didn't think so many people were into them.
I guess they’re better than the “Hey, let’s jump on the black alternates” bandwagon, but still. A little garish for me. Someone like Burleson might look ok in one, but Mebane will look like a great big green fruit!

I don't know if I could cheer for them in those jerseys.
I would try, but my face would be trying eat my eyes.
My theory is that the people who think this looks good are red/green color blind.
I want to see them go back to using silver.
Their two different blues with silver could be used to make some real nice looking uniforms.
I need to buy one ASAP.
What should I get? Which player has the most long-term viability to stay on the team? Trufant? Mebane? Schmitt?

In other news, beat every person you see wearing one of those black jerseys. Black is not our color. It breaks up the crowd. Nothing like seeing a sea of blue, neon green, and white.

My first reaction whenever I see an all-black one is that it’s Raiders fan.
Of course, I’m guilty of wearing one of the off-color jerseys as well, so I’m probably due a beat-down. I have a gray one. But at least it has the blue sleeves, numbers, and green trim, so it still looks pretty “Seahawk” I know the silver/gray isn’t technically part of our official colors anymore, but I wish it were. Those look pretty cool, IMO.

I guess they’ve been out for a year or two, like those all-black or the silver alternates the Pro Shop has sold. I saw a few people wearing them at games last year – they looked a little better in person, IMO (I think that applies to all our colors – they don’t seem to photograph well) But still, I couldn’t imagine seeing the whole team in them. That’d be eye-stabbingly garish.
