Trading Down- Again
Sorry, and an extra sorry for those who consider this fantasy GMing.
I couldn't help but notice the obvious connection or opening up of a possibility with the news of the Cutler signing. I'll make this quick since I was off work 5 minutes ago, but the hype around the news had kept me stuck to this computer.
Is Denver looking for a QB now? I'd assume so. They pick 12th and 18th now. Sanchez, Freeman?
What about Stafford at 4?
It would seem like a perfect world scenario for us to trade down and get the 12th and 18th, if Stafford is available still, allowing Denver to get their next QB.
I don't know.
Ideas?
A place to bury strangers.

Anyone else find it funny
that the fan post before this one is called ‘How the Seahawks could trade down’?

Funny isn't really the word
Tedious and repetitive seem a better fit

Why can't we just continue these trains of thought in the original fanpost rather than dedicate a new one
every time something comes up?

Because that would makes too much sense, and then where would we be?
that’s right, somewhere that is not here that’s where.

Sorry guys, call me selfish.
I’m a believer that It’s generally a decent idea if you have an opinion, to be able to voice it.
Plus, I can’t imagine the repetitive freeposting is really helping anything on this site either.
I just am asking a general question that I felt was seperate from everything else in the recent trade down post. I also made a trade down post roughly a week ago.
Why does it even offend you guys to be honest? I ask this this way because it’s happened to me before.
I am just participating in the site and curious about your opinions regarding this option, it’s not meant to be offensive or bothersome.
Let's go.

Sorry to be mean,
but I’ve seen so many sights were crap gets fanposted, so when there is a good fanpost, unless it is recced, it disappears within the next 12 hours. Seems unfair to the great fanposts out there. I mean I know you’re asking about how the Denver situation changes trading down, but there was a thread on the Denver trade and there’s a thread right before this on trading down. Sure yours is a variation of the other threads, but not so far off that you can’t ask that in those threads.

Plus, I'm not asking how they could trade down.
I’m asking very directly about anyones opinions regarding the opportunity that just opened up after this trade. Specifically with Denver.
To me it is a very fair question to ask. I ask you guys, please don’t get caught up in the pointless bashing of an individuals reasoning for starting a thread. It soon will pass down and go unnoticed.
I’ll move on:
They also received Kyle Orton. Do you believe Denver views him as their franchise QB?
Let's go.

I dont see how they could...
He provides a QB in exchange with game experience, but I cant help but think they are looking at doing something else.

Agreed....
I think if they get a good deal they may make a move of some kind but with switching the defence they need those picks. They may use one to move but not both. I just don’t see them doing much in that sense. They have two guys who have started with three weeks to get a look at with a few stop gaps in free agency still available.
However if they decide that they do’nt like them by draft time they better do something quick because QB’S could go early and they won’t be the only team looking at those stop gap guys (Tampa,NYJ,and possibly others)

A gentle suggestion, might be
to distinguish your post regarding a trade down by using a different title. If it’s specific to Denver, then put that in the title. Otherwise it may get lost, ignored, or like above: bashed.
I have no problem with your post. It is a valid topic, if not already part of other threads’ discussion. Making it unique, at least in title, might help. Just a suggestion.
To the subject: I think Denver may be targeting Sanchez. I don’t think they need to move to #4 to get him, thus making us a less-likely trade partner.

Trade down
Seattle trading down wouldn’t be a horrible idea. But if they did trade down with Denver, there is NO way that Seattle would get both picks. They might get the 12th pick and their 2nd or 3rd round pick. But not two 1st round picks.

I think you're wrong here.
The value chart shows Seattle’s 4th overall and their 68th overall could get the deal done.
