Wow, Denver must love us
They’re trying to do the impossible and get fewer wins than the Lions did last season.
Andy Reid is the only coach in NFL history that uses the pass to set up the pass.

Denver trades Marshall to Seattle for...
Seahawks 1st round pick…leaving Seattle with Marshall AND a top 5 pick.
Dream over…back to reality, where Seattle still has two firsts and Denver looks like they’ll do even worse.

Isn't that a lot to invest in a WRs in a run-happy offense?
Especially one who likes to likes to punch televisions (when he’s not brawling with his ladyfriend) in the offseason? He just seems like a big ball of hassle.

Yes.
If it was a realistic dream I’d go into scenarios like trading Branch. That was a rub in Denver’s face dream.

I would not trade Branch for Marshall. When Branch is healthy he has been great
but the key word is “when healthy.” I think we are pretty set at WR.

Ruskell isn't usually prone to trade for player that beat their wives/fiance's, but
the WR part is correct.
That pick is looking better by the day.
Happy Happy Happy! :)
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Jevon Snead, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer

Time to do the happy dance!
Here’s hoping we pick first and 32nd! (The second part may not be altogether realistic, but the first is looking more and more likely.)

To make things better
They will probably be looking to replace an early round draft pick for next year, and NOT for a player. No way they’re getting a 1st round for Marshall, but they’ll probably be looking for picks for next year.
Further cripple this year’s team!!

He REALLY wants out.
Marshall has already blogged a goodbye to Denver fans.

Baltimore and Cleveland are two early rumored possibilities for where he’ll end up. Chicago needs a WR but can’t afford him; I’m sure Detroit would love to get another young WR to keep defenses from double-teaming Megatron but they probably can’t spend much on him either with the contract they gave Stafford. Anyone else wondering if Arizona and Denver will just switch troubles with a Boldin/Marshall swap?
StonerHawk, don’t be so sure Denver can’t get a first-round pick for him. Yes, he’s got off-field and injury issues, but he’s also a young Pro Bowler with outstanding numbers. Denver will almost certainly start by asking for more than just a first rounder (1 and 3, 1 and 4). THAT they may not get, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see a team willing to deal a first-round pick for him. (If the Ravens didn’t get rid of Ray Lewis after his murder indictment then they might not be too worried about Marshall’s issues.)

Ray Lewis was already a leader on the team.
Nobody can say Brandon Marshall as a leader. I think his risk is made more intense by the fact that if he gets in trouble again, his suspension will most likely be for a year. Considering he was arrested for domestic violence with his wife on the honeymoon and his history of domestic violence with his ex girlfriend, I am pretty sure he is going to fuck up again. Ray Lewis’s situation was an isolated incident and was literally a bar fight that turned worst case scenario. Ray Lewis does not drink and is known to go to bed early after watching film, not exactly the type that will slip on a McDonald’s bag and fall into a TV.
But the Boldin/Marsall swap actually sounds plausible. That is the first time I heard that and I would welcome that. Nothing like another way to give Cardinals false hope.
