TE Cameron Morrah signed, 4 years, $1.79 Million

Morrah has signed a four-year deal worth $1.79 million dollars, including what NorthwestFootball.net has confirmed includes a signing bonus of just over $40,500.

After red-shirting his freshman season at Cal, Morrah backed up current Tennessee Titans tight end Craig Stevens in 2006 and 2007. Morrah moved into the starting lineup in 2008, starting 13 games and finishing the season with 27 receptions, 326 yards and a team-high 8 touchdowns.

That leaves only our first day picks left unsigned.

Sando has already picked this up as well.

Is Newton still PS Eligible?

Or does Morrah spend this year on the PS, and takes Owens’ spot next year?

I should probably just wait until camp and I’ll have my answer.

Guyz, I need ur help. Im txting from my iphone. I'm at a girls house i like, & i had 2 go 2 the bthroom. It was #2, & i clogged the toilet, water is everywhere. What should I do?

Owens is a blocking TE

Morrah isn’t much of a blocker. I doubt he’ll be replacing Owens or ever jumping into the blocking TE role. Almost every team keeps three tight ends during the season, and with Newton consistently being injured, Morrah will probably end up being that third tight end. Unless he’s really terrible.

Could we get a link in here for the folks too lazy to google?

And wass there any talk about the first false report of a Morrah signing?

Looks like the first link messed up.

I’ll try to fix it. It’s the Bryan McIntye one.

no problem

I dug deep inside and found the strength to use the google. Still no news on the earlier false alarm, though.

I never saw a false report.

If I did, I’m not sure I would have known it was a false report.

Scratch that.

On the 9th, this report was put out.

The team announced Tuesday that safety Courtney Greene, defensive end Nick Reed and tight end Cameron Morrah all signed deals seven weeks before the start of training camp.

Greene was the 245th selection, from Rutgers. Reed was the 247th pick, from Oregon. Morrah went 248th overall, out of California.

They are the first three Seahawks draft picks to have deals.

From the Seattle Times.

I guess

any Seahawks news is better than nothing at this point.

Is it just me, or are we signing picks a lot earlier this time around?

It felt like were signing everyone in the final week before training camp began after the last draft.

We've got a bunch of 7th-rounders this go-round

1st-rounders will probably sign in July. Also, the market is usually set by the early picks, which means that late-first round picks can take a long time to sign.

by ninjasocks on Jun 18, 2009 8:47 PM PDT up reply actions

Will it really take that long?

Stafford and Sanchez already have contracts, so picks 2, 3 and our man 4 have at least a general idea….
