I can't remember a game where I've yelled more.
The Shockey part was the best.

I was going to post this one on the “tony romo botched snap” post — one of my favorite moments ever.

came in to request that gif
That game was magical. Every field goal was a head in hands moment. Love ALL the giant players celebrating. Who misses a 45 yarder short?!?

I love the WPA for the NFL games, but im a little confused on some of it.
http://wp.advancednflstats.com/nflarchive.php?year=2005&team=SEA&gameid=28727
For this game against the 49ers it appears that our WPA was 87% when Seneca Wallace was taking a knee in the 4th quarter. The Seahawks were winning 41-3…how could the niners have had a 13% chance to win the game at that point? I imagine there had to be under 2 minutes left when Wallace took a knee. Am I missing something? That just seems very odd.

I would point it out in a comment or send Brian an email.
I’m sure there’s still some kinks to work out. In the linked graph, Seattle wins twice.

I was at work for that game.
LOL I actually left the floor for about combine total of 2 hours, not including my lunch break which was 45 minutes.
Still one of the most memorable games I’ve ever watched.
Sam Bradford, future Seattle Seahawk.

That was the only game...
I’ve ever been to in the new stadium. I came home on vacation (living in Denver) and my sis’ boyfriend’s brother was sick so I got to join them with their season tickets.
I couldn’t talk until Wed of that week. I never saw old Mile High, but Donkey fans are oh so proud of their volume, and it is NOTHING compared to what I experienced that day.
Nobody sat down the entire game in the entire south end zone where I was…
I also think that game paved the way for that season— it felt to me like a “believe it” game where the Hawks put themselves in a position to be considered among the elite. Nobody (outside Seattle) had much belief prior. The Cowboys game was too early and too indecisive, and we had lost to the Skins in OT but combine the ’boys game with this game and suddenly we were a team that could win the tight close ones, and learn from early season mistakes.
Maybe I’m biased because I was there, but, I really felt that this game was a turning point, and I felt like it was “our game.” My buddy back in Denver watched it and told me on TV it felt completely different, like we were just lucky to be in it at all. I was so surprised because the live feeling was simply so opposite.
Please, for the LOVE OF GOD, stop suggesting next year's 1st round pick (or picks) be used for Taylor Mays and or a QB of the future. Let's just let the season unfold, people, and evaluate much deeper in the process!!!

I remember this game, senior year of college
They finally cut to it after all the Midwest games had wrapped. I told myself, if I slammed “insert crappy beer here” before the Giants kicked they’d miss, and low and behold. What really sucked was waiting for the updates from ESPN’s gamecast.
