Goodbye Field Gulls
113 posts. That is the extent of my career at Field Gulls. While I've had a good time over the last six months, I am sad to say that I am moving on from this wonderful site after having just been accepted to medical school. While I will certainly try to read John's work as frequently as possible, I just can't afford to dedicate the time necessary to do daily football-related blurb writing.
I hope you all appreciate the outstanding quality of the work that John turns out on a daily basis because we as Seahawk fans are spoiled rotten. I'll try to drop by and post once in a while if something tickles my fancy, but in a month's time I'll be up to my neck in textbooks and up to my wrists in cadaver.

Best of luck to you
You added a ton to the site, and I’m sorry to see you move on. Med school, huh? Going to UW?

Good luck and Congratulations.
Med school seems it would be a heck of a lot of work, but it probably beats work.
On a selfish note, now I’m going to have to look for my own Seahawks-related material on a daily basis, and that sucks.

Sad to see you go. Yours and John’s posts make up a fair bit of my weekly reading time, time which will now be lessened. Either way, best of luck to you

I'm hoping I get to see more than one or two games this year, but the combo of
zero Hawks primetime games, living in Chicago, and scholastic duties may make that tough.

How?
Hey, I’m in the Navy and overseas for the first time. When I lived in Virginia NFL Sunday Ticket did me well, but I wasn’t sure how to watch my beloved Seahawks while in Japan!?
PLEASE!!! Tell me more about torrents/ live streams or any other way I can watch the games?
by StonerHawk on Jul 16, 2009 2:35 AM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
TenYardTorrents is a private tracker, but they're pretty strict about their upload policy.
I think you have to maintain at least a 1:1 ratio in order to use it.

Yeah, but it's not that bad.
Generally if you get in on the torrent in the first days its posted, you’ll seed as much if not more than you download anyway. I don’t mind seeding for longer than necessary for other Seahawks fans who can’t watch the games live.

Sites like Justin.tv had a lot of games early on last year, but the NFL caught on pretty quickly.
I’m still waiting for the NFL to come up with a product like MLB.tv.

Yeah, that wasn't fun!
I had a female cadaver, but we had to work with someone else’s as a larger group. It wasn’t as bad as when we sawed the face in half with a hack saw. Between the eyes, through the nose and right through the front teeth! Nasty.
On the bright side, your lunch will smell like formaldehyde!
Enjoy and we’ll miss you!

Look at the bright part...
when I was getting my P.E. endorsement from CWU, I had to deal with cadavers myself.
The probability to you seeing a cadaver that looks EXACTLY like your grandmother WHILE she just died of cancer is pretty low.
I hear it only happens once in a blue moon.
Just wish it wasn’t me the last blue moon….

there was a Red Robin...
when I was there. But they apparently didn’t live up to corporate standards or some such, so they lost their license and had to change their name and what have you…
This was late 90’s…
You could also come to see Rich at the clubhouse of the excellent golf course… ugh.

They got a Wendy’s after I graduated in 2004. The Fred Meyer went up while I was there. I dig the Red Horse and I’m two yellow tickets short of a free Super Mother at the Tav. Them burgers is good, as are the beer-battered mushrooms at the Tav.

Red Horse is decent, but Wing Central and Wing Central’ Roadhouse are the places for food. Roadhouse right now is the lone decent eatery.

post-04...i think
I think Wing Central went up after I left. I’ve actually never set foot on or even near the campus since I graduated in 2004. I just know the little market that was kiddie-corner from Lind Hall (geology major) went under new ownership, as did the little restaurant across the street.
…and I did develop a soft spot for Ellensburg Pasta Co.’s bread and dipping oil.

when the feed lot was there next to the pond and that crappy golf course, it was bad. People would avoid going to the southern part to eat because it would ruin any food.
