Five Year Salary Numbers

Here's a quick hit and run, as I left for SF several hours before this piece automatically published. Being the magnanimous soul that I am, I didn't want to leave you without something to read just because I'm getting further from my computer with every word you read. Danny O'Neil brings you aggregate payroll over the last five years. This isn't much other than the knowledge that Paul Allen is not pinching pennies with the Hawks, as we already learned that payroll doesn't correlate with winning. That's a lot of money.

Friday discussion question: If you could attend one and only one Seahawks game this year, which one would it be? Play nice and don't insult any mothers.

Last year at this time,

I was all geeked up for the Patriot game. Sunday night, Tom Brady, ‘Hawks to be jockeying for home field by that point. Er…. That’s what you get when you look to far ahead. Right now I’m so fired up for the season, the home opener against the Rams would be my answer. (Although if money were no object, week 8 against Dallas in their new stadium, looking to redeem themselves from last years Thanksgiving debacle, would be cool.)

I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.

I should add...

that the Pats game did turn out to be a hell of a game.

Home vs. Arizona

For obvious reasons, really. Not just our biggest division rival at this point, but last year’s NFC rep at the Superbowl.

Agreed.

Mine would have to be at Qwest, so week 6 would be my pick too.
Week 3 (vs. Bears) would be the close runner-up. Week 17 (vs. Titans) would be the winner if it weren’t Week 17.
