Marcus Trufant Placed on PUP List Because of Sore Back
Cornerback Marcus Trufant was placed on the physically unable to perform list on Friday because of a sore back. Coach Jim Mora said he did not believe it was serious and that they didn't feel the need to push him into action being a veteran.
Oh good. Just a sore back. That's unremarkable. I'm sure he'll be fine. Looking forward to him saying he's 100% before week 1.
What do you say? This is a fear related converse of accident fallacy? You shut up garbage bag. YOU SHUT THE HELL UP AND GO AWAY!

Those of us who fear the injury bug do not find this encouraging.
I was also not happy about Wahle retiring.

Agreed about the injury.
Some thing about the vagaries of “sore back” that make me uneasy. That can mean virtually anything. Here’s hoping it’s nothing that a couple Doan’s Pills can’t help.
I'm gonna go calm submissive on your ass.
Thanks for the heart attack there.
TRUFANT ON PUP!!!
(btw only sore back lawlz)
Thanks guys.
You know, I lost my father. Ah, he'll turn up. Have you checked the dumpster out back? He used to like to take a nap in there."

I wish they would say WHERE his back is sore.
It’s encouraging that Mora would say that right out. “Why risk it?” is a good approach for a player of his ability and importance. I might even say Trufant’s health is the most important player on the entire team this season, even more that Hasselbeck. Without him the secondary looks BAD. This isn’t good news but I think he’ll be fine and continue in his consistent high level play.
This should mean a good look at Hobbs in TC. Hopefully both he and Babs will step up and show some skills.
I would vigorously disagree with you about whose health is the most important.
No one’s health is more important than Walter Jones’.

Which is actually quite disturbing, given his age and the fact that I'm still convinced it will be a miracle to return from microfracture surgery.

I hate hearing this after last year
I hope Trufant is good to go. Our secondary is shoddy enough without losing our best player.
