"Lots of new things this year with the Seahawks and the first you'll notice is Curt Menefee on the broadcast. The host of Fox NFL Sunday will be doing play-by-play on all four Seahawks preseason games as Vern Lundquist opted out this year."

this is terrible news
Warren Moon and Curt Menefee were such a toxic combination, I ended up muting the broadcast.
Paul Silvi and Mack Strong on the pre-game show were pretty difficult to take, too.
I don't know what is off-putting about them
They seem to sound okay, but maybe its the rhythm of their delivery doesn’t sound great.
People love to hate announcers
I recognize good color guys, who really tell you something you wouldn’t notice yourself, instantly without the benefit of re-play, like Tim Ryan. I like Dave Sims, and he’s crossed over to do some Westwood One radio announcing for MNF a couple times, and it translated well. But otherwise, if they’re not good, I tune them out. As easy as it is to let them just grate on your nerves for all the stupid things they say, it’s an incredibly difficult job to be informative, articulate, concise and fluid off the cuff. People are awfully hard on them.

Mack Strong could have been speaking Russian
and I still would have watched him.
