Report: Seahawks Reach Out to Warrick Dunn
NFL.com's Steve Wyche reports that the Seahawks and Eagles have "reached out" to free agent Warrick Dunn.
Both teams would make sense for the 34-year-old, who's played almost his entire career in a West Coast offense. Dunn's best shot at carries would be in Seattle. He'd be third string in Philly, bumping Lorenzo Booker off the roster. However, Wyche says the talks "have been nothing more than exploratory." -Rotoworld

No thanks
I’d rather give the job to Forsett than an aging Dunn.

We have the backs we need.
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Jevon Snead, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer

I think I heard the same thing about the WR situation last summer

Yeah, we should have given Cris Carter a call.

That's almost as dumb as signing K-Rob and trading a 5th for Keary Colbert
and signing a 38-year old insurance salesman as a long snapper and . . .
Brett Favre is the Kenny Powers of football.

As much as you want to reach out to your old Falcons, Jimmy, you have to let them go.
But if we really want to get another back, how about Louis Rankin? I’m sure he’ll either be cut or signed into the practice squad by the Raiders. He was great in UW and was pretty dominant in the preseason. I’d rather have a young back with an upside than an aged veteran.

This. Is. Stupid.
Seriously I admire Dunn’s work on and off the field but he’s past it.
Might as well bring back Shaun so he can retire as a Seahawk.

Yup
I’m a little worried about bringing in any player approaching the big 3-0. Dunn is way past the expiration date for a RB.

Dunn averaged 4.2 yards a carry and caught almost 50 balls last year and he knows the system
I agree that I’d rather see them look at younger options but Dunn could probably help this team.

Random Rant... if the guy isn't playing anymore...
why bother. I mean, with Griffey, he’s still playing (albeit poorly) for the team. I just don’t understand the logic of signing a guy for a single day, just so he can retire on your team…
Please, for the LOVE OF GOD, stop suggesting next year's 1st round pick (or picks) be used for Taylor Mays and or a QB of the future. Let's just let the season unfold, people, and evaluate much deeper in the process!!!

Usually happens to Hall of Fame caliber players,
so that they are inducted with the team they had the most body of work with.

Dunn is ageless and a class act.
It’s a shame how Tampa just dumped him like that.

I've always been impressed with
his pass blocking (maybe it’s just because he’s a little guy) and his ability to get YAC.

I've long been a fan of his. Since FSU, even.
Seem like so long ago…

I agree.....
but still. We don’t need any more “old” guys on the team.
