Spencer has muscle tear, out 4-6 weeks
Bummer. Per Sando:
"The Seattle Seahawks expect to be without starting center Chris Spencer heading into the regular season after Spencer suffered a tear in his left thigh muscle during Saturday night's preseason game against Denver."
Update per Danny O'Neil (H/T AHG):
"Center Chris Spencer has suffered a second-degree tear of his left quadriceps muscle and is expected to be out four to six weeks."

Spencer and Jones...
Wahle, too if you can count him…
And Trufant…
C’mon Hawks, get healthy here. Why can’t Coutu or Brian Russell get injured? At least we wouldn’t care.
hate to try and find a silver lining
but at least we play the Niners and Rams the first 2 weeks. It’s a division game and you can’t overlook foes but if Knapp is good at one thing it’s running the ball and if the Rams and Niners are less then average on one thing it’s stopping the run(need to look up DVOA for that though). Here’s hoping it all works out.
Are we looking at Locklear, Simms, Unger, Wrotto, and Willis? Could be worse for our run game.
We're lucky in that respect
They’re certainly games that we can’t count as outright wins, but it’s certainly helpful to start the season with weaker teams.
The demise of the Broncos in '09 is our future. Pray hard.

The Rams and Niners are probably saying the same thing about us.

Yeah but if we were playing @ Cardinals
@ Colts or @ TEN or whatever, it’d be easier because we could just say we were probably going to lose those games anyways.
Silvery-er lining
Let this be the day that Max Unger steps up and commandeers the roll as starting Center, confidently leading our O-line in that capacity for years to come.
Glenn Beck likes argument, but has a deap-seated hatred for logic.
