Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Just a rumor from 'league sources', but a crappy and potentially season changing one...

The point remains.

The no name writer was a Washinton Redskin beatwriter turned NFL Network correspondent. Consider the source, take it for what it’s worth.

I don't disagree with the fact the source might not know anything.

Its just there is no gray area when it comes to the politics issue. So if anything is even hinted at it will be hidden.

There is no "news" there

While it may, in fact happen, this is just speculation that the recovery may take longer than expected in a 35-yo player. Then they speculate that a long recovery period may sacrifice Walter’s season. There is no suggestion of any new details in Walter’s recovery (we shouldn’t know for a few days yet).

Brett Favre is the Kenny Powers of football.

PUP

Coming off surgery, it would’ve made a lot more sense to keep him off the practice field at the beginning of camp so that they could give him the first six games to make sure he’s healthy. Now that he won’t be eligible for the PUP list, they have to either carry an injured player on the roster who might or might not play this year (or ever) or put him on the IR and hope can go in 2010.

This is just rumor mongering.

It wasn’t prudent to head into this season expecting serious contributions from Walter Jones anyway, given his age, the severity of the injury he sustained, and his current recovery course.
