Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

Florio's reporting that he's been suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team". Normally, it'd be four games.

So not only did they lose their best offensive weapon during the offseason, they just lost their second best offensive weapon.

l.o.l.

This just keeps getting better and better!

No kidding!

I don’t understand how he thinks acting like a douche is going to attract suitors for trade.

so its really looking like denvers going to suck

i bet they wish they hadnt given their #1 pick next year to seattle, who should get a top 5 pick again without needing to suck again

by HurricaneDayne on Aug 28, 2009 12:50 PM PDT up reply actions

Subconciously you are

Because your #1 allegiance is to the Seahawks team and its future, not your fantasy league.

But RE: your league … that sucks.

My buddies and I purposefully scheduled our draft a few days before the season starts so no one drafts a player that gets hurt or suspended in the preseason

There was much rejoicing…

He's on my fantasy team, too

But I’m rejoicing, anyway

I saw this story on ESPN

and it brought a smile to my face.

This whole having the broncos first pick is like the gift that keeps on giving. Not only will I be able to root for the hawks every week, but also i get to root for the team playing the broncos. i have already doubled my NFL weekend fun right there.

He's a Coug

It’s a tough concept to grasp.

:P

P.S. Hoping John isn’t a Coug

Do Cougs know about the internet?

Or football?

I think the evidence suggests that John isn’t a Coug.

Brett Favre is the Kenny Powers of football.

Hey!!!

I didn’t want to go there, but we knew enough about football to beat the huskies and then we knew enough about the internet to be insufferable about it for a whole year, so there.

NEVER HAVE!

Please, for the LOVE OF GOD, stop suggesting next year's 1st round pick (or picks) be used for Taylor Mays and or a QB of the future. Let's just let the season unfold, people, and evaluate much deeper in the process!!!

if it doesn’t exist anymore.

Thanks for reminding about the WWU football team going bye-bye. :(

I've lived in Bham my whole life and my wife graduated from WWU

And I only ever went to 2 games. And one was to see my cousin break their reception record.

Which actually reminds me he got a camp invite for the Seahawks one year.

Don't worry too much about it...

you can still hold dear in your heart the tradition of being 2nd best…

and of course, you still get that same tasty delight in hoops… where CWU would have to take off about 30 years just to let you catch up on the number of banners in the gym.

by Airborne Hawk Guy on Aug 28, 2009 11:07 AM PDT reply actions

Don't know happy i would be

Considering the QB is still Kyle Orton and Eddie Royal is going to be double covered as the defense coughs in there sleeves at the rest of the Bronco’s so called offensive option. I think the Broncos just became a run first, then second, then third, and then punt team.

by ClaypidgeonCoug on Aug 28, 2009 11:33 AM PDT up reply actions

Have you guys listened to Brock and Salk?

I was driving and there was nothing else on, but man, they’re ripping Brandon Marshall (because people are suggesting a Branch for Marshall trade).

Apparently Marshall has a long list of bad stuff though, most of which I consider minor.
1) DUI (we’ve have a few of those on our team).
2) changing lanes illegally, then no license when the cop pulled him over (why did they even mention this)
3) SEVEN domestic dispute calls (which Mike Salk apparently see as Marshall’s fault no matter what, and that it is in no way the girlfriend’s fault, which I find to be narrowminded considering that domestic disputes are proven to abnormally favor the female adn most men who are beaten by their female significant others either don’t say anything or do not get as favorable or any favorable treatment at all from law enforcemnt).

Also, they claim that Randy Moss is nowhere near as bad as Marshall. I recall Moss yelling a lot at his QBs. And he ran over a ticket cop when she tried to give him a ticket. That seems pretty bad to me.

by LantermanC on Aug 28, 2009 12:17 PM PDT reply actions

Sarcasm or no?

(Why is there a Cancel button, I just wrote something, and cancelled it away).

I never get to hear them because I don’t have an AM radio player at work but they seem alright.

I just don’t like how they write off Marshall so quickly as a bad guy. Also so many guys texted in to say that they’d give Marshall a chance, and Salk kept saying, go ahead and call in with this opinion, don’t just text, but whenever a guy called in, they’d ridicule him or cut him off.

Also is it just me or does this statement ‘I believe he should get a second chance, just no on my team.’ not make sense?

Why isn’t there an “edit” button for comments? >.<

That's the truth

It’s awesome to be able to hear rational discussion, analysis, and stats by someone other than the guest. I love how they don’t just pick an opinion out of a hat during the preshow meeting. They both have conviction, which I respect, even if I think they’re wrong at times.

Escalating Discipline to follow

P.S. The “raspberry sound” Florio alludes to is freaking hilarious, and the end of the youtube video. I pretty much laughed my head off
