Our defense is somewhat suspect

But when our offense gets clicking it doesn’t stop.

Well, our defense is pitching a shutout.

So it can’t be too bad. Mostly my optimism stems from its apparent improvement in the 2nd quarter.

Nearly 100 yards rushing in the first half...

could take it’s toll as the game wears on.

So

looks like our offense is Superbowl bound as long as the coaches con Matt into thinking there’s only 2 mins left everytime he takes the field…

Curt Menefee needs to take a refresher course in counting.

I’m tired of him botching the yardage gained on running plays.

Alexander wouldn’t let himself be tackled like that. He’d sit down first.

Just got home a little bit ago with a sixer of Bridgeport IPA.

Never had it before. Decent, but nothing special. Goes down easy enough to be a session beer.

Really been enjoying Housh, Carlson, Jones, and Forsett’s play. They’re really giving me hope for our offense.

I'm really not a fan of the Bridgeport IPA

It’s less hoppy than the Full Sail Pale. They make a pretty good Black Strap Stout, though.

I recently tried diamond knot's Industrial IPA for the first time. That's a pretty solid one.

My all-time favorite has to be Stone’s Ruination IPA though. I tend to like my beers hoppier. But this one is easy enough to drink while watching the game. It’s not a terrible taste and it gets the job done.

Thanks for an entertaining evening.

My thoughts…

1. Hass gonna throw a lot.
2. Hass gonna have some games where he gets pounded badly.
3. Defense? Hard to tell because the Chefs just suck ass.
4. Just cut Coutu already and get it over with.
5. Was hoping to see Curry and Hill blitz more, but I’m thinking the opportunity just wasn’t there tonight.
6. Slightly encouraged with O-line at times, but again, I think they’re gonna chuck it a ton.

Gnite gents.

by Hooper31 on Aug 29, 2009 7:44 PM PDT reply actions

They had Curry blitz a few times

I haven’t seen Hill blitz at all. That bothers me a little, but at this point he may be our best coverage backer since Curry isn’t up to speed yet.

Curry is getting washed out of plays. I keep him seeing him get driven out of the play to the outside or stonewalled in the middle. He needs some pass rush moves. He doesn’t have them yet. It’s a work in progress.

We seem to do well in the pre-season.

The last time we had a pre-season losing recod was 2002. The rest of the time we’re 3-1 or 2-2.

by Fear on Aug 29, 2009 7:52 PM PDT up reply actions

Also, we only went 2-2 in 2005.

Clearly this means we are going to do better then we did in 2005. Therefore, the only reasonable conclusion one can come to is that the Seahawks are winning the Superbowl this year.
