Kyle Orton Suffers Bonus Eruptus
That laceration? Kyle Orton dislocated his right intermediate phalanx and the dislocated bone burst through his skin. The wound will need stitching. I would suggest ether and immediate administration of trans-dental electromicide. That, or burn the corpse before they can breed.
From what little I've read, open dislocations involve ligament damage. The dislocation occurred on the index finger of his throwing hand. That's the release finger vital for accuracy. Until Orton can resume his duties sabotaging the Broncos, rookie Tom Brandstater will fill in.

Feel very bad for Orton
and very good for our 2010 draft. Do you expect Denver to look for FA QB ASAP? Who’s available?
I've seen him go top 5,
but I’ve also seen him way down in the first round after guys like Ciron Black and and Russell Okung, but we’ll see.
Of the top 4 OTs,
Bulaga looks to be the best fit for a zone blocking scheme. He could also play guard which would leave us much more flexibility with Willis around through next year and in case Walt has one more year left in him.
Josh McDaniels: the gift that keeps on giving.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
compund dislocations
these injuries hurt….
I dislocated my right elbow when I was 9 yrs old and the joint bone poked through the skin….boy did it bleed and hurt badly….
I had tremendous tendon damage and muscle damage….
I rehabbed for 16 weeks after 6 weeks in a cast…
Why do I have this eerie feeling
That Brandstater will come in and kick ass?
Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
3-13 here they come!!!!
Beverly Hills 90210.......Denver Broncos 7.
How long is Simms out?
If Simms gets healthy before Orton and steps into the starting job, this could actually wind up helping the Broncos.

Sounds terribly painful. I feel bad for Neckbeard.
Now please pardon me while I dance a little Top 5 Pick Jig.

Interesting tidbit about the chest bursting scene
Is no one except John Hurt knew exactly what was going to happen. It’s kinda funny knowing that and watching it again to see the looks on the actors faces.
It’s kinda the same look Denver fans get when they see any one of their quarterbacks strut out onto the field.
And Denver is a franchise that's been lucky enough to have great QBs for a pretty good stretch
Brett Favre is the Kenny Powers of football.
According to PFT, the Donks say both Simms and Neckbeard will be back for week one
Apparently, McDaniels has access to a time machine that will allow him to send the player back in time a month after they’ve recovered.

Ugh, gross.
Nothing nauseates me more than bones breaking skin. BARF.
Orton would agree with you
When my son and I saw him exit the field, based solely on the look on his face (fear, nausea, blood rushing from his face to elsewhere) we figured it had to be more than just a lasceration. We thought compound fracture, which isn’t far off.
he shouldn't miss any time...
not like he hasn’t thrown with his left hand before.
That happening again
is on my birthday list. And my Christmas list. So glorious.

First of all
OOOOOW
Second of all, I am worried that this rookie might be competent. Get well soon, Orton.
