Sunny cold days suck.
Overcast, cold, fall days rock.
I hate Steve Vallos (not personally)
I am also angry at Fearless Frog, ninjasocks, and whiskey chainsaw.
I apologized to Niners Nation on behalf of those three.
Brian Billick SUCKS!

He said the word "proverbial" too many times to count.
I don’t think that word means what he thinks it means.

I think...
we all accepted defeat in a proper way over there.
I’ll fight my own battles, and clean up my own messes, thank you.

Um, I was one of those over there as well.
What we were doing on Niners Nation was 100% good-natured smack talking. You think Fooch would’ve let us continue if we were trolling?
Ya I don't really have a problem with it.
Its like when chad would come over from the bears site. As long as you leave after the game is played.

Wow what a shitty game
But Lo Jack continues to look good, hooray!
I think I just pooped your pants...
No positives here...only bitching

OUR DEFENSIVE LINE WAS ABMYSAL
I DON’T CARE ABOUT INJURES, YOU DON’T LET FRANK GORE RUN 75+ YARDS TWICE
Gus Bradley should've at least tried a blitz
Did he even rush more than 5?
"[Aaron] Curry is not a good pass-rusher" - Fearless Frog, 4/25/2009
No kidding, and he's supposed to be a power back!
On that first run he had, did anyone see Red Bryant get pushed out to the right. That was one of the biggest holes I’ve ever seen!
Wasn't the defensive lines fault!
It was the second level that over pursued and got out of lanes on the big runs by Gore and Babs didn’t do anything to save them. That’s what happens when you have only 1 out of 3 starters at LB. D-Line did a very good job, especially L-Jack!

Oy.
And to think how happy I was 1 week ago at this time. A shutout last week… our defense reigned supreme! And now I’m just pissed. I want my run defense, and my good mood heading into Monday, back.

Injuries shouldn't be an excuse for THIS game.
There were opportunities on the field that the ’Hawks just missed. Dropped passes, missed tackles: lack of concentration does not just apply to stud players that are not on the Field due to injury. It is the responsibility of professional athletes in general.

Yup
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this. If we had this guy:

we would have had 2 road-grading RTs with suspect pass protection that we could have played. This would have also prevented Lock from being injured.
We could have also had a far better option to start at an already thin tackle position than Brandon Frye.

If we make RBs look like Barry Sanders while our offense struggles, why not?

There is absolutely no way that Andre Smith would be able to play LT now
And he’s probably not a future LT. Willis is a better T than Frye, but he can’t play LT.
I'll agree on Sanchez,
just because I had no hopes of us contending for a while anyway and LB is the easiest position to find in the draft. It’s way too early to talk about the other two being impact players for us in the way that Curry is though.
by SeaTownBlueDevil on Sep 20, 2009 8:04 PM PDT up reply actions
Curry did look very foolish on several plays.
I know he’s only a rookie, but sheesh, after all the hype… I guess I just had a higher standard for him.
More like the Broncos dominating in a win.
It IS the Browns, but still.

I love it!

I hate injuries
I also hate that I was playing against Gore in my fantasy league.
I hate benching Hass only to start Romo...for him to suck
Now I’m down 30+ points to a team that started McNabb and benched Andre Johnson.
May the Forsett be with you.
I dumped Schaub
and kept Palmer.
Someone already picked him up as a backup, so I can’t even play the matchup game now…

Our punter will be Jon Runyan like last year.
May the Forsett be with you.
I picked him up in my full IDP league...
and started him instead of a LB at my “flex” guy. Greatest waiver wire pickup ever!

that when someone over at NinersNation said their wins were superior to the donkeys because they played two better teams, I had to say that I wasn’t sure but Cincy might be better than us.

Injuries, because they've ruined one, and now possibly two seasons.
John Owens, for trying to play volleyball instead of catching a football. Also for getting us off to a slow start because of it.
Hasselbeck, for throwing to John Owens in the first place and for getting confused by ‘verbiage’.
Whoever was responsible for Gore’s two 80 yard runs. Was it overpursuit by the line backers? The D-line getting manhandled? Babs and Lucas overpursuing? Whatever it was, it looked bad.
I hate this (but typing it out is cathartic)
Injured Seahawks:
Left tackle
Center
Right tackle (switched to left tackle)
Quarterback
Middle linebacker
Outside linebacker
Defensive tackle
- cornerback
- cornerback
It isn’t so much the number of injuries but the fact that they are spread to our best players at nearly every position. Last year was bad, but after you’ve lost youre #1,2 and 3 WR’s losing numbers 4 and 5 isn’t as big a deal. The 4th and 5th players aren’t that skilled. This year our best players are hurt. If you listed the Seahawks’ top ten best players on the entire roster, how many are injured? 8?
painful.
whoa
there’s some auto formatting in there of which I was unaware.

I can't find a better place to talk about this,
but what the hell was Wade Phillips thinking? He had a timeout in his pocket, but chose to let the clock run down to four seconds, and let New York stop the clock to set up for the field goal. He then used his timeout to ice the kicker.
He could have used the timeout sooner to ensure that his team would have a chance to return the kickoff.

I was watching the game at a bar in the middle of Missouri...
…so of course they didn’t have the sound on: I STILL hate Brian Billick.
I hate these fucking injuries
I don’t know why we are so damn snakebit these last two years. The number of injuries is ridiculous. It makes you wonder whether your team is made of glass or soft, even though your rational mind knows that they are just unlucky as hell with the perfect storm of misfortune falling upon us.
It’s enough to drive a damn fan to the point of madness. I feel like the whole season is headed for the toilet again unless Jim Mora and staff can pull off some kind of coaching miracle.
And watching that many Seahawks fuck up playing defense whether it is misreading the play or completely blowing their assignment is painful. After all the resources we have spent to bolster our defense, when the damn hell are we going to see the results on the field.
Using excuses like “The run defense was good except for” is enough to make me puke. No, say it like it is. The Seahawks defense sucked this weekend, pure and simple. It sucked. They gave up 23 points to the anemic 49ers. They found a way to look pathetic and week against a pathetic and week offense.
This reeks of the past when they looked like champs at home or against weak offenses and were carved up and spit out by strong offenses. I just can’t believe that we can spend this many draft picks and this much cash to bolster our defense and have minimal results on the field.
How can so many guys get hurt this much. Seriously, do any of them stretch or practive proper technique? What’s going on here. Someone figure out a way to get these guys healthy.
