Courtney Greene
signed with the Jags. Turns out he was cut because of a knee injury, and the Hawks were planning to bring him back.
Courtney Greene was all set to return Sunday to the Seattle Seahawks. The rookie from New Rochelle had completed rehab for his sprained left knee, and after being cut by Seattle Labor Day weekend, he was prepared to reach the NFL by way of the practice squad.
Hours before Greene boarded a flight back to Seattle on Sunday, he learned his NFL dreams would be realized on this side of the country.
This may not get much discussion as another injury related loss, but Greene is a player, and will start down the line.
A place to bury strangers.

Crap.
Love Babs, but he is not the long-term answer at safety or CB. It was frustrating to see the 49ers DBs were all faster AND more physical than all of our DBs (except possibly Trufant).
If the gossamer CB Jennings can’t catch Gore (not that he would have been able to bring him down), how can he be on the field?

I don't know if you can claim that he'll be a starter somewhere down the line.
But yes, it kind of sucks if were cut just because of an injury because I don’t see CJ Wallace as a long term solution. Though I guess it would be wise for Ruskell to stay away from injury prone players, though that’s not to say Greene is injury prone, but someone off a recent knee injury is more likely to be injury prone then someone with no injury I’m guessing.

I can
I am a Rutgers fan, not a Seahawk fan. I saw him for tour years, he is very good. Unlike Teel, who is fool’s gold (great in practice, coaches love him, but will break your heart).

Why is every player
even REMOTELY associated with the Seahawks going down with an injury?!?

Franco Harris is listed as probable.

Thanks for posting this
good to hear an update and the minor revelation. Nothing in this transaction could have helped the 49er game. No one would have been more prepared to start over or take significant snaps from Babs. I dunno if he’ll start or not.
