Tebow struggles with NFL Style Defense
Posting this because "many" regard Tebow as a "shoe-in" Ruskell pick for next year's draft.
The article only reinforces my fears about Tebow in the NFL. More specifically, Tebow as a Seahawk.
Thoughts?

Who cares, he has God on his side
As opposed to all of his opponents, who have God on their behinds.
I'm so frustrated with all the injuries ....
maybe we could use a little God instead of football at this point. Maybe The Lord will part defenses for Tebow the way he parted the Red Sea for Moses.
Thoughts:
Tim Tebow is horrible and I am terrified that we might draft him.

Introducing the Fearless Frog fill-in-the-blank comment:
(Player name) is (negative adjective) and I am terrified that we might (draft/sign/trade for) him. I have been watching (player name) for a long time, and I can say with certainty that he (is horrible/is terrible/sucks).

Brilliant.
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Jevan Snead, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer
I'm ok with drafting him. Just as long as it's not a 1st rounder.
It could just be the system he plays in plays best to his strengths, but that he is capable of playing in a pro system as well.
As for BrianL’s comment, while it is funny, I think a lot of people are thinking the same thing about Tebow, especially since his character, commitment, intangibles are ‘off the charts’.
I made no assessment of Tebow in my comment.
I just like to automate things.
So, what IS your opinion on Tebow?

I would be inclined to agree.
More specifically, how do you feel about him transitioning to the NFL as a QB, and the probability the front office might give him a serious look with an intent of drafting him?

Sounds good.
I hope that’s true.

Do you really think Ruskell's high value on character makes him completely and utterly oblivious to these things?
I sure hope you’re not that irrational.
I don't know what to really think of Ruskell anymore.
I haven’t been too impressed with his drafting, and I wouldn’t put it above him to use a late first on Tebow if he’s available.

You haven't been impressed with his drafting?
Gosh, I couldn’t tell.
Besides Curry, I mean.

I'm re-thinking
My whole feelings on Ruskell’s drafting after Lo-Jack is doing better. Anyone else?

Lets wait a few more games before we judge LoJack
If he gets sacks vs the Bears and Colts, then I’ll breathe out a sigh of relief.
The demise of the Broncos in '09 is our future. Pray hard.
Same here. If LoJack turns into an 8 sacks per year player
(seems kind of likely given his playing time hasn’t been too much this year and he already has 3), his drafts aren’t that bad. If Jennings turns out to develop some ball skills (we’ll find out in the next few weeks) then he looks pretty damn good.
Let's wait on LoJack predictions
until we see how he plays against strong teams like the Bears, Colts, Vikings, etc.
3 sacks vs. the 49ers and Rams is fantastic, but certainly not an indicator that he’s realizing his talent.
The demise of the Broncos in '09 is our future. Pray hard.
I think...
if you spend 5 or 20 minutes with him, you are a better person for the experience.

I meant, while your automated FF response was funny and true,
FF’s assessment of Tebow seems to be what several Hawks fans may be concerned about when it comes to the Ruskell type. Good character, and undervalued for a reason that Ruskell may or may not deem workable (height, lack of speed, in this case too much FB-type running and a lack of a NFL type offense?).
Tim Tebow is the next Brian Russell
http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/09/21/tim-tebow-nfl-safety/
Mike Wahle(OG), Walter Jones(LT), Chris Spencer(C), Marcus Trufant(CB), Deion Branch(WR), Sean Locklear(OT), Brandon Mebane(DT), Leroy Hill(LB), Lofa Tatupu(LB), Josh Wilson(CB), Justin Griffith(FB), Matt Hasselbeck (QB)
I'm not sure how this proves Tebow can't be an NFL quarterback
Tennesse has a very talented defensive line and Florida is lacking weapons in their passing game. Kiffin runs what I’d imagine is his normal Tampa 2, something thats given our very own Matt Hasselbeck fits, and Tebow is frequently forced to check down and scramble. Tebow threw one pick in the game to a diving Eric Berry. Tebow also completes 73% of his passes in the game, Florida never trails and wins the game handily.
From everything I’ve heard, including that article, it sounds like Kiffin deserves a lot of credit and the Florida wide receivers a lot of blame. McShay just latched on to Tebow for the name recognition.
"Florida is lacking weapons in their passing game."
Uhm, compared to what, NFL teams?!?!
I don’t care if they are young, IT’S FLORIDA. Their WR’s are better than all but at MOST 15 other schools in the nation, and probably fewer than that…

I think he would be a great power HB.
Not a QB, though.

If you haven’t seen it already, Mocking the Draft (SBN ’10 draft site) linked to a guy at National Football Post who has Locker #1 overall.
The National Football Post is a rag
One more data point.
Mike Wahle(OG), Walter Jones(LT), Chris Spencer(C), Marcus Trufant(CB), Deion Branch(WR), Sean Locklear(OT), Brandon Mebane(DT), Leroy Hill(LB), Lofa Tatupu(LB), Josh Wilson(CB), Justin Griffith(FB), Matt Hasselbeck (QB)
I also fucking want Jake Locker.

He won't declare is my thinking on the matter.
And I’m getting real close to jumping off the Snead bandwagon. His comp % has been ‘horrible’.
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Jevan Snead, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer
Snead has disappointed me.
Still like him over Bradford and the rest, though.

Imagine how motivated our guys would be if we got to play Denver twice this year...
…bring on our lovely draft-pick you turdburglars!
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Jevan Snead, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer
My quick take is this:
I believe many will be surprised how low Tebow and McCoy are each drafted.
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Jevan Snead, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling 6'2, 200, RB Jonathan Dwyer
Why would anybody be surprised if either slipped out of the first round?

I don't know that I'd limit how low to just the 2nd round.
Teams may reach for them, but come draft time I could see either falling out of day one.

Oh, I see.
I can possibly see Tebow slipping out of the first round, but I wager some team will chance on McCoy.
