An MRI exam showed left guard Rob Sims strained his oblique Sunday, a side muscle that is key to repelling charging defenders. Mora said Sims will be questionable to play against Indianapolis. Mansfield Wrotto would likely become the eighth starter on the offensive line this season if Sims can't play.

I put the link in the code provided via the fanshot in the bottom section, but I guess it didn't show up.

Here is that link:

Semi-good news.

With our injury history, it could have been worse. Possibly sitting out one game isn’t a huge loss, albeit it is Indy.

So, does Wrotto go in as LG, or does Unger switch and Wrotto plays RG?

I’m bummed about losing another starter, but IMO this could be a blessing in disguise, because a mauling Wrotto/Willis tandem on the right side could really help the run game.

Hmmm

Was I the only one who noticed a dropoff in pass protection when Wrotto replaced Sims on Sunday?

Nope

And since Sims has better skills in pass-pro while Wrotto’s better at run blocking, it wasn’t much of a surprise.

That's good

He’s our backup LT for the game (Unger is the 3rd string).
