Bucs fired offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski.

"Weren't we trying to hire this guy in Seattle?

Yeah I remember that

This is amazing. January he could’ve been with us. September he gets fired from his job.

Beverly Hills 90210.......Denver Broncos 7.

The news on the street is that the guy didn't know what the hell he was doing

At BC, he had an assistant coach in charge of play calling. The Bucs didn’t think he had any idea about how to run an NFL passing game.

If those rumors are true, I’m pretty happy we didn’t end up with him.

I heard...

it had a lot to do with his opinion on who the QB should be both present and future, and that he lost the eye-to-eye battle with the QB coach and head coach as far as exactly when Josh Freemen will get thrown into the mix.

(I heard he was preaching more time and patience, and that’s where the disagreement came from.)

Please, for the LOVE OF GOD, stop suggesting next year's 1st round pick (or picks) be used for Taylor Mays and or a QB of the future. Let's just let the season unfold, people, and evaluate much deeper in the process!!!

Wow

From up & coming college coach, to potential Head Coach, to fired as OC before rosters reach their final cut? That’s a quick slide, even for the NFL.

Tampa is starting to look like a mess.

"Jagodzinski "not equipped" to direct NFL offense"

From PFT:

Perhaps there is a more salacious truth out there, but the St. Petersburg Times reports that Jeff Jagodzinski is no longer the Bucs offensive coordinator for a simple reason: he wasn’t ready for the job.

“Jags” had very little experience calling plays, something that Steve Logan normally did for him at Boston College. (Logan is now in Tampa as a running backs coach and will remain there.) The Bucs reportedly grew concerned that Jagodzinski knew how to install a zone blocking running scheme on the team, but not much else.

Actually, if salacious is to be used correctly...

I would say calling the guy unable to do the job IS salacious, and a less salacious offering would be one based on a disagreement on personnel or playbook….

still sounds a little fishy to me

And I wonder if it’s Tampa ’s cover story so they can say the firing was “for cause” and avoid paying him some money. Whereas if the firing came down to a personality conflict or difference of opinion on Freeman he could file a grievance or something.

I just find it hard to believe the guy could get HC interviews and then hired as an OC without anyone bothering to ask about his playcalling abilities. Although stranger things have happened, I suppose.

I think the source of the rumors probably doesn't like Jags

I don’t see how you get more defamatory than “he doesn’t know anything about football beyond the ZBS”.
