Maybe it's just the contrarian in me, but I have no problem with what Blount did.
That guy looks like a punk, and his coach was in the act of chastising him when Blount punched him anyways.
Sure Blount is probably a thug, but anyone who tries to piss of a thug is just stupid. The fact that someone is willing to cross the line and break the rules in retaliation is just another deterrent for those who cross the line in more subtle ways but don’t get caught.
Though like I said, it could just be the contrarian in me, since I went out and bought an Artest jersey after the Detroit fiasco.
I don't agree with what Blount did
But I totally agree with you point about the BSU player. Seriously, dude, act like you’ve won a game before. It’s one thing jump around and be excited with your teammates after a big win, it’s a whole other deal to seak out the one guy on the team that you know is a trouble maker, smack him on the chest and talk some smack. I think the biggest proof in that is that Coach Peterson was in the process of ripping his own player for his actions when the punch landed. Peterson had a look of total disgust on his face.
Again, Blount was outa line, but I’m not going to walk up to Rampage Jackson and call him a pussy any time soon. If you play with fire, expect to get burned.
Blount is done, Oregon is done, their coach is done
I was flipping back and forth between the Hawks and Oregon/Boise, mainly because I wanted to see Blount and Thurmond play as I thought both seniors might be on Seattle’s radar for next year. What an embarrassment for Oregon. Blount had been suspended from practice earlier in the year due to missing meetings or something. He shot his mouth off before the game, which is what prompted the taunting post game. During the game he and the O-line were awful, although I’m sure the spread offense with wide gaps is what allowed the Boise D-line to shoot the gaps so the coaching staff takes the blame for awful game plan. The O-line looked like a sieve in a game full of mistakes. Neither team looked top 25. Blount should be suspended for multiple games and possibly booted off the team. You can admire the punch, but not the decision to throw it. Stupid. He just cost himself a ton of money as his draft stock is plummeting, maybe all the way out of the draft. No way the Hawks touch him. Thurmond played pretty well, from what I saw,
What an idiot
Definitely can see him going to Silver and Black
He should be suspended for hitting his own teammate as well
And for going after a fan while being ushered to the locker room
He’s a JUCO transfer in the first game of his senior season. Expected to set example for younger players, represent not only himself but the team and his school. If I were Rich Brooks (AD) I’d ensure he was suspended indefinitely, if not outright kicked off the team, and I’d be reconsidering the coaching hire as the team stunk it up and embarrassed the entire school.
You mean Mike Bellotti?
Not sure what Brooks is doing these days, but Bellotti’s Oregon’s AD.

3 levels of happiness
Duckies lost.
They looked like clowns.
Their starting RB punched a dude in the face and will miss significant time.
I think I just pooped your pants...
Funny
Someone read me the riot act earlier for saying Blount had character concerns that would stop Seattle from drafting him.
just search for it on youtube.
The dude who got punched deserved it, and should also be suspended. Not that I’m condoning Blount’s actions, but the guy who was talking shit totally deserved to get popped.
Also, sign Blount now.
It's Great to be a Florida Gator!
