"The offensive line was built for the one-cut, zone-blocking scheme while McDaniels prefers the power-running game. Maybe that's why the Broncos haven't been able to run the ball very well during the preseason."
Keep the best, and only effective, part of the team, and one of the best units in the league at what they do - zone block - in tact and fundamentally change the way they function to a way that they are not suited for. Draft a talented cut-back runner high in the first round, and plug him into a power running blocking scheme. Line your injury prone free agent back, Buckhalter, and stuff him into the middle where there are no holes open. Take your best power runner, Hillis, and send him back to receive kick offs. And finally, take your best (undersized) young receiver, Royal, and repeatedly cross him over the middle so the backers can get good shots in on him."
