How much is an undefeated preseason worth?
Not much.
"Out of the 17 teams that went undefeated in the preseason since 2000, nine of them have made it to the playoffs. Three of those teams even appeared in the Super Bowl with two of them taking home the Lombardi Trophy."
Perfect preseason teams went 139/132/1 in the regular season for a .511 winning percentage. Nearly 53% of those teams moved onto the playoffs, beating the 37.5% chances of an otherwise random team.
But, y'know, Lions.
