FO's Preseason DVOA Out
As is the first Postseason Odds Report. Two things of note:
(1) FO thinks the 'Hawks are the favorites in the NFC West.
(2) FO thinks Denver's the worst team in football, and likely to hand the 'Hawks the first pick in the 2010 draft.

Arizona with 5.5 projected wins?
STL with 8.7? Am I missing something?

Yeah, they predicted that a while ago.
Something like the Cards tanking for 4th and the Rams turning it around a lot.

ARI on account of health
which I didn’t buy, but they were lethargic in the preseason, and while I don’t buy the SB loser’s curse, I think there’s an affect, and weaker SB participants probably have a harder time getting over it.
The Rams, also on account of health, and failing in the red zone more. Which I buy.

Warner's hip is still a little sore from offseason surgery
Boldin’s hammy is flaring up, Beanie hasn’t been very durable, they all just came off a 20-game and there are concerns in the locker room that guys aren’t motivated enough.
Brett Favre is the Kenny Powers of football.

Still, I look at the Rams offense and think, wow this team sucks.
Then I look at their defense and think, Jesus their defense is even worse!

At least they have good RB, unlike us. :(

Also, we're more likely than Pittsburgh or NYG to win the Super Bowl?

That brings me so much joy
but it’s a left handed compliment. Because of Baltimore. Because the AFC is stacked on top so the possibility of coming in 2nd but missing the wild card is non-neglibible, while they consider our competition for the division crown to be less stiff. Same thing for the crowded but not necessarily stacked NFC East.

I like those odds
Interesting that St. Louis is way above San Fran and Arizona. SF and AZ being among the worst. Maybe sunday’s game will be much tougher then most people think.
Just out of curiosity, here’s last years (I always like to see how those who predict, did):

What happened to the Chargers to being completely absurd?
Did Merriman’s choking Tequila have to do with it?

Basically, they were really good in passing offense last year
but even still left a lot of points on the field, and so are projected to get even better, plus their running game lagged and is expected to return to form. Merriman’s back, Gates was a ghost last year, LT’s back, Rivers’ is reaching his prime.
And the Broncos, Raiders and Chiefs.

Just to clarify on Denver
If I read the DVOA chart right, the Broncos are projected to be the second-worst team in the NFL. But because they have the toughest schedule, they’re projected to finish with a worse record than Buffalo.
In any case, however you figure it: terrible team plus nasty schedule equals high draft pick for the Seahawks! Hopefully. Assuming they don’t do something crazy like winning games.

You're Absolutely Correct
And I phrased that poorly.
