With the Seahawks and USC coach Pete Carroll reportedly meeting today to nail down the terms of his employment at the Seattle branch of NFL, Inc., progress apparently has been made.
According to Scott Wolf of the L.A. Daily News, Carroll has submitted his official resignation to the powers-that-be at Southern Cal.
And so a college football coaching contract continues to bind only the school, allowing the coach to leave whenever and however he wants, regardless of the problems his departure might cause.
