Ruskell, Not a Mora fan?
Danny O'Neil has an interesting article on something Tim Ruskell said to Jim Mora after Mora came out and supported Holmgren returning to Seattle.
I gotta say, this seems pretty low by Ruskell if it's true.

the timeline is escaping me
Was this after Ruskell resigned or before? If after I think it’s kind of funny but that could be stemming from how much I disliked Mora.
After, from what what I understand
This was when the Seahawks were “courting” Holmgren (after Ruskell resigned). When Holmgren declined their offer, Mora came out a day or two later saying that he had been pushing the organization to hire Holmgren. Ruskell apparently wasn’t pleased by that.
Considering it was a private email
I don’t judge Ruskell. Mora invited the response.

I just don't think the response by Ruskell was necessary.
Holmgren might of been Mora’s only hope to save his job and his support for Holmgren came out after Ruskell stepped down.
I don't know, this was all behind closed doors
If Ruskell wants to hate Mora in private and say nothing bad about him in public it’s a non-issue.
That's true and I don't think Ruskell is wrong, just that his response seemed a bit unwarranted, even if it was meant to be private.
I disagree. Ruskell gave Mora a chance after he suffered a bad firing
and then two weeks after Ruskell was fired, Mora publicly stated “It’s no secret that I’m a Mike Holmgren fan, and I was an advocate of him coming back, to the point that I made my feelings known to the people that make those decisions,” Mora said. “I’m probably as disappointed as anybody that he’s decided to reject our offer and go onward. I don’t know all the particulars. I just know that I absolutely have great regard for Mike Holmgren.”
If nothing else, Ruskell may have been protecting Ruston Webster.
I agree with that and if I were in Ruskell's shoes I'd probably feel the same way.
However I think you could make the case that Mora felt betrayed, after all Ruskell wasn’t technically fired, he did step down.
Probably would of been best for both of them to not say anything.
I guess that would be my conclusion on this.
This would be cool if we could get the Gossip Girl voice over to read the story

I think this was really small for both of these guys
I don’t buy that Mora invited the initial blast from Ruskell. TR had already been out of the organization and Webster was never really a serious candidate since the team was looking to go a new direction of some sort. Mora and Holmgren had worked together for a couple years, and its apparent they are good friends. Without saying anything demeaning to TR, he made a case for a former colleague. The reason TR was pissed off was because it made him look like the loser in the whole Holmgren v. Ruskell hidden war, but it wasn’t intentional on Mora’s part and the response was completely uncalled for, and frankly stupid on TR’s part.
I know if I was Mora, and I received a venom-tipped message like that for supporting a former colleague, I’d be pretty upset. We already know that Mora has emotion-management problems and sometimes does things before he thinks. Leaking the email was a natural reaction- contemptible actions tend to evoke contemptible responses. In the end, I lost some respect for Mora but a lot of respect for TR. The whole thing just reeks of middle school shenanigans.
It's unprofessional.
Like I said, it’s more Gossip Girl than anything else. I’m totally gonna tie Ruskell’s shoelaces together in biology class.
