Yes. YES! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We pwned Delhomme, Stevens caught a pass, and Nick Goings was held.

This is a day I’ll never forget.

SEA! HAWKS!

I know it's popular now to say "pwned", but I actually meant to say "owned"

The moment Steve Smith was shut down offensively the game was over. It was a fantastic gameplan.

The nuts to double and triple-team Smith was key to this game.

Smith was on a tear and Holmgren learned from what he did to the Giants and Bears in the weeks prior and didn’t let it happen to us.

Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Sam Bradford, OT Ciron Black, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, RB Jonathan Dwyer

I'm not sure it too much nuts to triple team Smith

He was their only healthy skill player and he’s Steve Smith.

If it took that little doing, the Bears and Giants would have done it too.

Sacrificing part of the defense and assigning that much attention is rare. I’m just saying not only was it smart: it took courage (nuts!). :)

The most glorious moment in Seahawks history?

Perhaps aside from Largent’s monster hit and fumble recovery on that Denver secondary guy…um… you know with the one thing?….. but seriously I think most people know what I’m trying to reference here.

Mike Harden

That Panthers game was unreal. I’ll never forget walking down from the 300 section and the entire walkway was jam packed with everyone screaming SEAHAWKS! If there was ever a time for Seattle to riot and turn over cars that was it.

IMO, the '83-'84 playoff run was probably the 2nd greatest.

That was a huge upset when the team went down and beat Miami for a berth in the AFCCG. I was still a little kid, and didn’t really grasp what was going on, but my parents took me down to great the team plane when it landed, and there was a big crowd … and the city was on electric that week leading up to the game.

My third-place candidate

11/11/90 — Seahawks 17, Chiefs 16.

Dave Krieg to Paul Skansi in the middle of the endzone with no time left on the clock.

Sorry...

…that should have been a reply to the previous top-level comment.

by TheLaird on Jan 22, 2010 4:00 PM PST up reply actions

That was fantastic.

I loved Skansi. Unheralded WR3 is how I remember him, though he made some clutch catches.

Was that one the 6 or 7 sacker? I don't remember.

Still got that turnstile image?

Who the heck was our human turnstile that day, anyway? I remember a similar day from Winston Justice of the Eagles getting lambasted by Osi. I think he maybe only gave up 5 though.

NFL Network

replayed that game this summer, it was really cool to watch a full game from before I was a fan and at the time I didn’t know how it ended, that last drive was pretty sweet.

by FizzleDrip on Jan 22, 2010 11:00 PM PST up reply actions

Same here!

Just before the last drive, my dad was saying "Skansi wasn’t a great receiver but every once in a while he’d just make this “wow!” catch. Oh and when Dave Krieg goes into shotgun you know he means business."
Next play: Krieg out of shotgun, long pass to Skansi for a TD. Glorious.

Ahh!

Andy Heck. An appropriate name. He was with the team until 94

Man, I'll never forget being at this game

when Lofa picked off Delhomme at the Carolina 30 or so and the crowd started chanting TA-TU-PU! That was when Lofa became my favorite current era Seahawk (Largent is my favorite Seahawk\football player).

Wow...

Hadn’t realized it has been 4 years. I still remember it as if it were yesterday.

Talents that I covet:

Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, Sam Bradford, Mike Iupati, Golden Tate, Earl Thomas, and Freddie Barnes

That specific picture

where the announcer scratches Seattle off that list. That image was etched into my brain. Great moment.
