They need our alchemically forged mixture of sour grapes and schadenfreude to hex Mark Sanchez and power him to piss away a game the Bengals wants to lose.

I look at it two ways
1.) Jets win and get humiliated by the Bengals.
2.) Texans win and beat the Bengals.
Either result works for me.
FIRE JIM MORA NOW!
Try that again
1.) Jets win and get walloped at Cincy next week.
2.) Jets lose and Texans possibly beat New England.
Either outcome works.
FIRE JIM MORA NOW!
Agreed.
But at the same time I am experiencing a massive amount of trepidation at the thought of a crappy GM or Mora sticking around. I hope he is fired by Tuesday.

jets
i think if the jets win denver’s pick is 15 but if they lose and end up 8-8 their strength of schedule is weaker so they jump ahead of denver in the draft so then our pick (denver’s) is 16.
im rooting for the jets.
Draft picks 6 and 14
According to these guys. Jets game pending.

Losing to Tennessee helped at both spots.
Moved us up a couple for BOTH our first-rounders.
Wow...
San Francisco went from having the #10 and #12 pick this morning to having the #13 and #17 pick.

I was rooting for a Seahawks win today, regardless of what happens with their draft positioning.
If anyone should be called idiots, it’s the Bucs. They lost any chance they had of drafting Suh.

It’s wrong and unfair to root against ur own team and wanting them to lose. I don’t care what pick we have or going to have wins are what improves a team not drafts. And unfortunately we didn’t get the win.

Quits on routes, misreads plays…. what the hell. No focus. So much talent.
Danny O'Neil just credited us with an extra loss
And with that, the Seahawks finished the season 5-12 and the crowd of 67,002 — the smallest announced crowd at Qwest Field since December 2005 — began filtering out.
Johnson finished the game with 134 yards on 36 carries. He entered the game needing 128 yards to become the sixth player in NFL history to reach 2,000 yards rushing.

Mora
He was asked why he chose to punt at the end of the first half, rather than ask Olindo Mare to attempt about a 54-yard field goal. He admitted he heard the crowd’s response as certain as a fog horn.
“The wind was swirling. It was fourth-and-10 and I did not want to give them the ball back,” he said. “I heard the boos and I could understand that people would say, ‘What the heck do you have to lose, go for it.’ But in my mind, we’re trying to win a football game.”

When you think about it we lost 5 close games that year
Should’ve won the 49ers game.
Lost to the Dolphins thanks to Keary Colbert and Koren Robinson (who dropped a TD in the 3rd quarter that would’ve given us the lead).
Lost to the Cardinals and Redskins.
Lost to the Pats thanks to John Marshall, Brian Russell, and Seneca refusing to audible to a different play on an obvious blitz.
The crippled 2008 team was better than this somewhat crippled 2009 team.

Er... I'm quite happy with Forsett.
I’d rather consider players like Golden Tate, Jason Fox, or Greg Romeus. Hopefully Charles Brown could fall to the Seahawks in the 2nd. If he’s there, I’d take him in a heartbeat.
But if the Seahawks are thinking of getting a running back in the 2nd, I’d rather they took someone like Ryan Matthews or Jahvid Best.
Besides, if Gerhart were to be considered, I’m quite sure he could be had in the 4th round.

I don’t want him to supplant Forestt rather give us a power back to go with a quick back. Forsett doesn’t seem good in short yardage situations to me I think Gerhart would be like having a Mike Alstott type for us.
by A'Seahawks_Warriors on Jan 3, 2010 10:18 PM PST up reply actions
Yep. I am sure that the highest he goes is in the 3rd round, but I feel that he is more likely a 4th round prospect.
There are a lot of defensive talents (D-line and safety) that will be available that will drop him down, coupled with the fact that many teams do not have a need for a young RB (except maybe the Texans), and the fact that he does not have great measurables, so it will make him drop.
