Stolen from lemonverbena

Two years ago the Seahawks beat the Redskins 35-14 on Wild Card weekend. Two years and a million staggering miles ago.

#5 New York Jets at #4 Cincinnati Bengals, 1:30 PM Pacific, NBC. Line: Cincy - 2.5. Over/under: 34.

The three-man clusterfuck of Tom Hammond, Joe Gibbs and Joe Theismann in the booth from sub-freezing Paul Brown Stadium.

#6 Philadelphia Eagles at #3 Dallas Cowboys, 5:00 PM Pacific, NBC. Line: Dallas -3.5. Over/under: 45.

Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth call it from a closed-roof Cowboys Stadium.

Try this: when someone says "Pete Carroll" and "Seahawks" in the same sentence, drink alcohol. Some may not need prompting.

Let's go Bengals!

My father’s side of the family is from Cincinnati so I’ve been a Bengals and Reds fan as long as I’ve been a Seattle sport’s fan. Plus, Bengals going all the way will make the sweet tears of my Steeler’s fan classmates all the more delicious.

I’m also totally going to be “watching” the game from an airplane, truly the future has arrived.

They missed the playoffs 3 straight years after their last appearance

Straddled around mediocrity before falling off a cliff last year losing Palmer.

This year they’ve been good but not great and do not have a great offense.

Yet they fall flat on their faces in two ways:

1.) Losing a crucial playoff game (or game with playoff implications).

2.) Being embarrassing.

Michael Shayne Graham (born December 9, 1977 in Radford, Virginia) is a terrible American football placekicker for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football at Virginia Tech.

Think it was DeSean Jackson, Caldwell, Doucet

Let’s see:

To my eyes, Caldwell is the second best wide receiver prospect in the draft. He’s agile, fast, tough, a crisp route runner and polished. Caldwell’s been banged up a bit, but don’t read too much into his broken leg, a freak injury with no chance of reoccurrence. In my dream draft Caldwell would be Seattle’s second round pick.
