**Disclaimer** I'm relatively new to the Field Gulls community, so let me know if I've posted this in an inappropriate area or if it is just inappropriate in general. It is a topic that I've discussed with a few other people and thought this community would provide interesting input. That being said...
Hey, sports fans! Let's talk about sports fans!
Like many/all of you here, I'm a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks. I'm also a first year season ticket holder who has the unfortunate luck to be surrounded by complete degenerates. The fellow next to me, in particular, is a very special breed of moron. Of the two games I've attended so far this year, he's been drunk by halftime and has been incredibly rude to pretty much anyone he can find who is not wearing a Seahawks jersey. In fact, last game he called a little girl (around the age of 7) wearing a Charger's jersey a very rude word for the female anatomy which rhymes with "grunt". One would think this is an anomaly that would be quickly snuffed out, but far from discouraging this behavior, people around me seem to be openly amused by it and tend to egg him on.
My difficulties in dealing with drunken bloody tampons aside, I'm wondering what everyone else's experience has been when it comes to sports fans at Qwest and in general. Are they inherently a breed of overly aggressive bungholes bent on taking their frustrations out on adorable children, or are folks like this just bad eggs who give the rest of us bad names? Is there hope for humanity in sportsmanship, or are we all cursed to deal with the throngs of mongoloids that amass anywhere there is overpriced Bud Light?
