Post Your Hawk: Week 6
Seattle Seahawks (2-2) vs. Chicago Bears (4-1)
Seattle Injuries: Dexter Davis DE (Hamstring, DNP Wednesday); Marcus Trufant CB (Ankle, DNP Wednesday)
Chicago Injuries: Lance Briggs LB (Ankle, DNP Wednesday); Roberto Garza OL (Knee, DNP Wednesday); Charles Tillman CB (Calf, DNP Wednesday); Major Wright S (Hamstring, DNP Wednesday); Brian Urlacher LB (Groin, LP Wednesday); Jay Cutler QB (Concussion, FP Wednesday); Chris Williams OL (Hamstring, FP Wednesday)
There's a lot to be nervous about with this game. Coming off a bye week? Check. Road game? Check. 10am start? Check. Last game was a humiliating road loss? Check. Add in the fact that Marcus Trufant is still dealing with what sounds like a pretty bad ankle injury, and, well, consider me pretty pessimistic about the Seahawks' chances on Sunday.
In fact, I think the Seahawks are gonna get rolled. Chicago's offense is pretty crappy, but their defense is still pretty good. My Hawk is Brandon Mebane He gets a couple of nice pressures, which forces Cutler into a couple of sacks. Also, Me! Bane! picks up a couple of nice backfield squishies of Matt Forte.
However, the offense sucks royally and Chicago wins 17-3.
thebluefox won the player projection by picking Lawyer Milloy. Here's a link to the point prediction spreadsheet: Link. Remember, in order to qualify for the title, you have to pick at least 75% of the games this year, as we're picking the winner based on the average difference, not total points. Also, as always, if something doesn't seem right with the spreadsheet, let me know and I'll make sure it gets fixed.

Lynch
6 carries, 33 yards, 1 TD
Bears 34 Seahawks 7
We’re 2-1 when I pick against the Seahawks so let’s make it 3-1.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
I love the fact that "squishes" is now tracked stat here at Fieldgulls
Clemons
2 sacks (though I never sincerely wish injury on another player, high chance cutler is out by half-time)
Bears 21, Seahawks 10
Game features only defensive and special teams TDs.
Shanghai Kelly's on Polk St. in San Francisco is the worst bar on the face of the earth (at least on Sunday mornings).
I'm going to take ET vs. Cutler.
One or two picks.
marshawn over 70 yds in first game.
Bears 13 Seahawks 17
Have a bad feeling about this game,
I’ll take Red Bryant with 1.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
Bears win 34-14.
We should lose, I expect it.
But I won’t be surprised to see us not only win, but do so convincingly, even if merely carried by defense and ST.
STFTW!
Golden Tate, 118 punt return yards, 1 TD. 2 rec, 59 yards.
Mike Williams shows up to play 110 yrds 1 TD
The bears offensive line has more holes than a strainer. Hawks 24-10.

Curry
Sack and a FF.
Hawks 20-9
Thrilled to be excited about a Seattle running back for the first time since 2006.
Russel Okung
Rookie mistake gets him schooled by Peppers, leaves Hasselbeck broken, and clears the way for Aragorn. Whitehurst in a comeback victory with 250 yards and 2 TDs in 3 quarters.
Clemons
3 sacks and Cutler doesn’t finish the game. Bears still win 20-7.
Thomas
2 ints. A grippa tackles cuz.
or
Red Bryant two sacks for 2 fumbles
or
Brandon Stokley 98 yards with 2 tds.

With a pick 6 and a sack.

Olindo Mare has a field day with our lack of a cohesive offense
Including kicking the winner as time expires. 5 field gulls, 3 touchbacks.

Damn man... RIDE that Clemons caboose!!! Choo chooooo.
Bring Your Game, Leave Your Name.
PS: Screen name isn't what you think it means.
realistic??
I don’t know if I can believe that this would happen…..
that is Clemons having 7 sacks and the bears still scoring 21 points.
Lynch and Hass
Lynch 15 carries for 85 yards and one TD. Hass 22 for 34, 200 yards, no INT’s. Plays within himself, just good enough for 23-20 HAWKS WIN!!!

REC THIS DIEHARD WINS!
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
Well done!
And Lynch was a game changer as well. I honestly don’t know if we sustain those drives if he gets caught in the backfield or held to meager gains. His stats don’t show it, but he demoralized the Bears.
Whaaaaaaaa!?!
Though they sink through the Sea, they shall rise again...Death shall have no dominion...
I thought my prediction was going to win
Amazing pick!! Nicely done
Aaron Curry
finally " gets it" consistently destroys the run on his side and blitz’s a bunch of times wraps up 2 sacks.
HEATER!
2 passes deflected, 4 tackles (one for a loss), half a sack and a pick-six to ice the game for Seattle. Hawks win 23-17.
Thank you, Walter Jones.
Thank you, Ken Griffey Jr.
Jeremy Bates
Calls a brilliant game that just barely keeps us in it.
Bears – 24 Hawks-21
This sucks.
