UW has truly horribe offensive and defensive lines

It’s amazing they ever have any success at all given how pathetic they are. Half the time Locker or the RB’s don’t get anything done because guys are way into the backfield right after the snap. On D, the line gets NO pressure, and gets pushed around easily. Until they get some talent on the lines, that team is going to be meh, no matter what talent they have at the “skill” positions.

by BlueThruAndThru on Oct 9, 2010 8:52 PM PDT up reply actions

It's too bad Jake has not had much talent around him.

It’s hard to develop fully when your o-line sucks that bad, when your receivers have the dropsies constantly, and when your running game lacks both size and anywhere to go due to the o-line. I think he has progressedd enough to be considered a decent talent for the NFL, but he’s still not where Luck or Mallet or several other prospects are, mainly because he has the least talent around him to work with, so fewer snaps due to short drives. Fewer potentially successful situations for him to work through to get ready for the pro game.

by BlueThruAndThru on Oct 9, 2010 8:56 PM PDT up reply actions

While Jake may not be as developed,

his ceiling warrants us to draft him over Luck or Mallet. The Seahawks are still a couple years from being true superbowl contenders. This could possibly allow Locker to sit a couple years and develop the tools to be a great QB. He also could be a bust haha. But still, I’m willing to sell the farm for our hometown boy. Plus.. I go to Cal so fuck Stanfurd and Luck

decent, but his o-line has sucked so bad, he's had few opportunities.

He’s been sacked quickly multiple times, and then massive penetration by the d-line when he’s tried to run, so caught behind the line of scrimmage. Receivers have also dropped several key passes. I would say he looks good, just with no talent on the line helping him out to make big plays tonight.

by BlueThruAndThru on Oct 9, 2010 8:48 PM PDT up reply actions
