The league has released Monday's waiver wire to authorized personnel, and Moss is not included on it, a source with access to the wire told La Canfora.
The deadline for daily transactions is 4 p.m. The Vikings could still elect to waive Moss later this week. Childress told the team he would do so today, but a source said others in the organization were not of the same mind.
Chilly wanted to drop the punitive cut on Randy Moss, but it sounds like this might backfire in a major way.

Yeah Twitter's been going on about this all day.
Schefter says he’s heard Moss is open to returning to Minnesota if Chilly is talked out of it. Glazer says his sources said Moss would never come back no matter what. Which I kind of assumed.
So it's going to be pretty akward for Chilly when Moss is in uniform on Sunday.
I wish I could root for the Cardinals to crush the Vikings.
Tuesday he'll be (officially) waived, from what I've read/heard.
Start Charlie Whitehurst. / #24 = Beast Mode! Welcome, Marshawn
Sheesh
I didn’t think there was a way for this situation to get worse for the Vikings. Leave it to Brad Childress to find a way.
During halftime of MNF, Schefter mentioned the Seahawks as a possible destination for Moss.
Along with the Rams, Raiders, and Redskins, with Mortenson predicting he goes to the Rams. My question is, what good is Moss in a Seahawks offense led by a QB who can’t throw the ball 30 yards?
The Rams Make Sense
They’ve got a legitimate shot at the playoffs, and they’ve got a QB who’s been hamstrung by receivers. Bradford hasn’t been able to get the ball more than 15 yards downfield. Plus, they’re fairly high on the waiver claim list.
In fact, I think they’re the lowest team on the claim list that makes sense.
Make scary sense
I’m hoping that the Broncos make a claim. McDaniels knows Moss, loves the passing attack, and they might be delusional enough to still be hoping for playoffs. But I’m probably just trying to imagine a scenario where the Rams don’t get him . . .

Can someone explain how things work in claiming a player off of the waiver wire?
Is it based on last year’s standings or something?
It's based on current standings.
For players with at least 4 years of service, if they are let go after the trade deadline, he (or she) goes through the waiver game. The team with the worst record who claims, wins.
If the player’s contract expires, or has a no-trade clause, he becomes a FA at the end of the season. If multi-year deal and no no-trade clause, the team gets to keep him one more season. Somebody kill me. No, just kidding. Reading that language is painful. I could keep typing about free agents and clauses, however, typing this is even worse. Plus I have to keep an eye on the space below to see if somebody beat me to it and made all my work completely useless.

NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora “hears” that the Seahawks will not put in a waiver claim on Randy Moss.
The Seahawks have been flirting with the idea of landing a big-play receiver since the offseason, but they’ve apparently decided that Moss’ attitude is too much of a risk. LaCanfora also hears that the Ravens will not claim OLB Shawne Merriman, who starred locally at Maryland.
