11/6 College football thread

I didn't see one up, so here we go.

Washington travels to Oregon without Locker, pretty sure Sportsbook has Oregon favored by...55? Well at least the Seahawks aren't the biggest Seattle area underdog this week, hopefully Washington can shock the world. The other big pac-10 game is Arizona vs Stanford, Arizona travels to Oregon in a few weeks for another big game.

There are plenty of other big games as well, like Auburn vs. Chattanooga....uh, yeah.

Go Huskies?

I like Huard but Blackburn is boring and Bellotti, like most color guys, is terrible at it.

I might be in the minority on this, but I'm a Brock fan.

I think he’s great teamed up with Salk and his show and from what I’ve heard he knows his football. Always enjoyed his breakdowns with Sando when Sando was still around.

I'm watching NFL's 100 Greatest Players Ever

If you’re going to include Anthony Munoz how can you not include Walter Jones?

This list is so flawed and to even attempt this is just a case of looking for superlatives and listing things.

I’d have liked to see more defensive players or at least classification by position. Most of the players (63% I think) were on offense.

Yeah
Game Balls: Beck, who held up, kept his poise and played very well all game, despite innumerable drops by his receivers. Brian Russell, who brought some of his late season gains into the postseason. Guy really showed up. Russell can’t consistently wrap up and takes some bad angles, but he had a number of nice plays.

Cuts: Marcus Pollard who looked downright arthritic out there. Sayonara, Time Machine. Jordan Babineaux is not an NFL caliber talent. I really like Babs and I bet he brings it in practice, but he was nearly the worst player on the field every time he took the field. He might float around on various team’s benches for awhile or just enjoy his 6 figure savings. I’ll always remember you for taking Tony Romo down a notch, man.

The Pollard fumble ended the game as a contest. I couldn’t stand him.

Trent Richardson: best RB on Alabama.

God I love that guy. What balance, burst, power and speed. Wish he was draft-eligible in 2011. He could very well be the #1 RB prospect in 2012, but that class is going to be well-stocked with gifted runners.

One thing thing he did concede is that Richardson is going to be a good pro. It will be very interesting to watch Richardson when he’s the starter for the whole season, but he was really good as the starter this year anyways.

In general.

Even if he plays for another team in the NFL, I still want the guy to have success. He’s from the state of Washington, went to the UW, refrained from declaring for the draft last year despite the consensus that he would be picked in the first round because he wanted to try and get the UW to a bowl game. He’s one of the few people who I would like no matter what team he plays on.
