I miss the old Dan Marino Dolphins.
At least you could count on them to throw the crap out of the ball all game long. This is going to be some boring, crunch it out football.
Looks like I spoke too soon!
Although the Ravens seem to have compiled their receiving corps out of AFC West guys.

Derrick Mason was about 6 inches from an amazing TD.

That was a long six inches.
He did a great job even making it look close.

Narrow streets of cobblestone. ’Neath the halo of a streetlamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp; When my eyes were stabbed my the flash on a neon light, that split the night, and touched the sound of silence.

Sexy sexy sexy!
Turner, Foster, and Hillis with early TDs for my best fantasy team. This is a team with Chris Johnson on his BYE week.
10-team auction
Foster was a cheap sleeper and Hillis was an early season FA pickup. Couldn’t have landed such a good combination of players.

Would save them from going running back in the draft and he could allow Belichick to finally release Kevin Faulk's soul.
And, as of last season, he was one of the ten best backs in the NFL.
Put him on that offense and he could BEAST.
Lot of mileage on those legs
I know its been by committee most of his career in Carolina, but he’s still gotten a lot of touches, not to mention completely carrying Memphis for four years.
Its perfect for him in New England then, considering they past 90% of the time.
What will they do with Danny Woodhead?
I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul - Invictus
2008
but now that I actually look at the numbers I see his workload has been less than I imagined. I still think its a valid concern though, little guys like him can only handle all that extra muscle, plus the punishment of the position, for so long.
Again, he was a horse at Memphis, most likely in high school as well. That stuff adds up.
In 2008 he had 22 catches and 272 carries, so just under 300.
And that was his high water mark by ~50 touches.
Yeah.
Have there been many running backs that were successful later into their career because of earlier light loads? The running back drop off seems much more related to age than touches.
Remember FO did some kind of research about touches versus age some time ago
but even then, how do you isolate individual performance?
I think more than age or touches, it’s about injury. Such a fine line between hitting the hole and getting stuffed over and over.
Us?
Not sure what kind of money he’s looking at, but offhand he seems like a decent replacement for Marshawn.

They were talking about Julius Jones and they mentioned Mora had him.
Mora made some comment about he had him during his internship in Seattle.
Did he mention that JJ was one of the reasons he's in the booth right now?

Sean Smith just dropped a pick 6.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
Nice hands, Smith.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
With all of these injuries
I might start a petition to sign Nick Reed again.

FAKE PUNT!

Ndamukong Suh
has a better arm than Hasselbeck.
Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
A lot of people have a better arm than Hasselbeck
And by the grace of the gods one of them is under center for the Seahawks today.
Branch sighting!
Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
I thought the same thing
I wish he’d done his lord of the dance thing in the commercial like he did in early season 3

Arizona has a really easy schedule
It’s not even funny.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
Wow.
Flacco just walked right into that one.
ALPHONSO SMITH!!!!!
Sanchez picked off.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
Why does Henne think he has any running ability?
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
That makes sense.
Oh wait, Kitna’s not buddhist, he’s Christian.
I want rollouts, bubble screens, and NO DEEP THROWS TO BUTLER!!!!

Not many other people to throw deep to.
except BEN OBOMANU! :O

No fades to Butler.

So not to be ironic or anything.
But I shaved off my head and facial hair the other day… Was mistaken on who was starting this afternoon.

Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
how many of the teams playing right now do you think we could actually beat?
asides from ari, car, and I guess SD
Minnesota, TB, Falcons, Saints, Dolphins, Cleveland, Pats, Texans, Jets
Really no one looks great
by Scruffy Lefty on Nov 7, 2010 12:18 PM PST up reply actions
I was a part of a 3 to 2 win in HS
It was cool cause our kicker scored all the points. A FG and a safety on a bad punt snap.
We COULD beat all of those teams
We could also lose miserably. As stated earlier…football.
Teams we play this year or teams playing right at this moment?
Cause we could beat a little over half of them and I wouldn’t be shocked. But we could also lose and I wouldn’t be shocked.
by Hopefulmsfan on Nov 7, 2010 12:18 PM PST up reply actions
Depends on if the games are in Seattle or on the road.
I think we could be the Browns, Lions, Bucs, Dolphins at home.
And Claussen with the pick 6.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
I'm pretty sure the only difference between Hasselbeck and Carson Palmer right now
is that Palmer has a green light to throw the ball.
I agree.
They have pretty similar careers overall.
Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
Palmer won a Heisman!

I really really want these teams to win:
Bills, Browns, Sealions, Texans.
Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
If nothing else I'm feeling really good right now about not drafting Clausen.
I’m just going to stay with that going into our game.
Wow, nice catch Burleson
Why not do that here? All you did was drop that.
He's been pretty good in Detroit.
Has a nice arm aiming balls at him.
Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
He caught a lot of those balls
and he was great after the catch. Burleson was never our problem

True, he was amazing after the catch.
And some beautiful punt returns. But he was very often frustrating.

What is he doing exactly?
Why can't my higher than average expectations ever be met in the football world? Why?
Tackles are a poor measure of a defensive back
and he’s played nickel and dime. Think he might have won the starting position today though.
Rivers is getting it done today with a bunch of practice squad guys at WR/TE

I'd say Stafford has a better supporting cast offensively
But Sanchez does play with one of the best defenses in the league.
Megatron, Burly, Best, Scheffler?
Jets O-line is good by reputation, but they’ve been nothing special this year.
I kinda feel like ET is more of a Troy Polamalu than an Ed Reed
similar size and whatnot.

Microsoft gave Activision hats full of money to let them say that the 360 is the place to play CoD. CoD:BO is possibly the biggest game of this holiday season and whichever console it is considered “the best” on has the potential to reap benefits in terms of hardware sales.

Augh, don't even get me started on fucking PC multi
For the life of me i can’t figure out how to get it not on “strict NAT” or whatever the fuck it’s talking about. Hey, game companies, TRY AND MAKE IT EASY FOR US, WE AREN’T ALL COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS.
You should play Starcraft 2.
NAT-issue free, according to me and like 10 friends.

The ranking system works amazingly well for quick matches. Most people I know have about a .500 win-loss ’cuz the computer always matches them up against just-as-skilled players. So you could just wallow in bronze league forever and still have fun.

I got a new router, and all of the sudden it's an issue.
Plus I can’t play games under like 140 ping. But my net connection is far better than most. What a pain in the ass.
You need to adjust your router settings.
