I couldn't bring myself to drink
during the Hawks game, but fuck it, I’m cracking a bottle of wine to watch Dallas get their asses handed to them.

I've always liked him
Quality, at the very least.
by somethingwitty on Nov 7, 2010 5:44 PM PST up reply actions
He's good for sure, just something about his on-field demeanor.
Nothing critical, just know he’s one of those good reputation quarterbacks.
This have anything to do with when he was convinced Tapp bit his ankle?
Through a mouth-guard, through a facemask?
Wooooo!

And the Olive Garden one amusing for implying good first-impressions can be made there.
Oh, commercials.
Wooooo!

Anyone know what is really wrong with Mebane?
Sounds like he tore his calf more-so than strained it.
It is what it is...
Clay Matthews
Every sack makes me cringe with hate. Curry, find a purpose my man.
It is what it is...
Watching Clay Matthews is like seeing returning to the Earth from Valhalla
It’s like Nick Reid jokes – but real…yeah, I went there.
Good bye Big Walt.
Is Aaron Rodgers a good comp for Jake Locker?
Obviously Rodgers is better in the pocket, but say, a comparison for Locker to develop into.
Maybe
With a whole hell of a lot of development.

I remember many people thinking Rogers was going to bust
That his awkward throwing motion was unfixable

He is a good rationale for letting a guy sit and not making him develop under fire
Whether that is Locker in five years or not, it is what I would like to see happen to whoever we take in the first round to be our QB next year.
Good bye Big Walt.
That's what happens when you spend three seasons backing up and learning from
one of the all-time greats I guess.
I think he's the paradigm.
Good arm, great scrambling ability, good head on his shoulders.
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
that's what happens when you name your kid after people who can't swim.
they are challenged.

CLAY MATTHEWS MOTHERFUCKERS
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
I need a quick and easy steak marinade
anybody have any secret recipes?
Why marinade?
Just go with thick crushed pepper and some good sea salt.
by somethingwitty on Nov 7, 2010 6:26 PM PST up reply actions
yeah, not necessarily marinade per se
but good ideas about what to put on steak. I usually do the pepper and salt, just looking for insperado nuevo.
well sure she likes steak and everythi-
-oooohhhhhhhh
it's all about ratios.
you can cook it down to a steak sauce, etc.
If your steak is thick cut, it can only soak in so far.
I like the ingredients
I may nt try it tonight but I will in the future
On a serious note
Reduce some red wine, veal demiglace, and shallots. Top your steak with some meaty mushrooms and this. Super good.

oh kuhn
if only you could run faster then a weiner dog
Jennings. Austin.
Austin. Jennings. Come on people, Prince Lombardi needs you.
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
I need Jennings to perform
my opponent started Eli Manning…
So I think the NFC is coming down to the Giants, Packers and Falcons.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
Normally I'd agree...
Colts have been absolutely decimated by injuries. More than decimated…like, uh, sextimated.
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
And hey! Tapper had a sack and a tackle for a loss today.
Hope they give up on using him at defensive tackle.
and Pistol looked good too
I bet most of the ex-Hawks were glad they weren’t current Hawks today. (Except maybe JP)
Seeing that commercial after Manning just stomped all over the 'Hawks
makes me want to kill somebody.
Come on everybody!
Hop on the Dallas FAILwagon!
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
Can't root against them like I used to.
My friend Spencer should arrive just in time to see his team down by four touchdowns. I don’t really root for teams my friends like, but I no longer wish for them to fail.
Ever secretly rooted for a friend and his gf to break up, so you could get with her?
Uh…me neither, of course.
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
He sounds like he would get along well with the owner of the 49'ers.

Worse to be a Seahawks fan or worse to be a Cowboys fan?
On the one hand, the Cowboys are good. On the other, 2010 is lost and losing a year in your championship window is painful.
is this there 2007?
or maybe even there 2008.
Agreed, but it's closer than it should be.
The problem, as always, is that expectations normalize so quickly. Remember the heady dreams of two weeks ago?
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
I was pretty excited following the Bears win, and then watching the tape that week, sort of resigned myself to mediocre.
I still thought mediocre was possible after the home win versus the Cardinals, and even following the loss to the Raiders, I didn’t quite expect this.
Was hoping you'd find a way to get the trifecta
and omit subject line.
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
Excuse me, while I look up "flagon"
- sound of: Creaky Floorboards, door slam, revving engine, tire screech, sound of metal on power pole, sirens.
Watching Aaron Rodgers succeed
Is a thing of beauty. He is a top 5 QB right now.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
I can't recall a more enjoyable QB to watch
I used to think P. Manning was fun to watch, but boy has that changed.
He's not fun to watch
He’s a modern art masterpiece.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
If you're talking about the non-bitch-punk-Manning then I agree.

On a separate note
F the Galaxy. I just know they’re getting a cake walk to the MLS Cup Final and will finish off my crap sports season by winning it in Toronto.
Freaking Sounders are killing me.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
I'm not a Sounders fan
Hence the Toronto (FC) mention. We’re in a constant state of rebuild through poor draft classes and a pathetic offense coupled with a porous defense whenever one or two players are missing. We are strong at home and embarrassing on the road.
I wonder if I also just described the Seahawks.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
To a t.
You should pick better pro teams to follow.

I prefer uniformity
So I can be pissed off year-round.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.
Are you saying you follow the Pirates too?
"Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback."
by the other side on Nov 7, 2010 7:30 PM PST up reply actions
well lets take it one further
that kind of describes the Sonics and Mariners as well. Both have huge flaws that never get resolved and so we just keep middling around in the same state forever. Forever being 8 years or so but you know when you follow so many losing teams it feels like eternity.

The only thing TFC doesn't do
Is hang on to players who are way past their prime. And yes, as a non-Seattle native I think the media has a dangerous obsession/maniacal denial over defending Griffey, Alexander, Matt, etc. that nothing ever gets done with them.
Michael Robinson leads the Seahawks in completion percentage, yards-per-attempt, and QB rating.

Did Green Bay just run a fucking wishbone?

Dallas is the worst team in football.
And it’s not even close. Carolina shows more promise than these guys.

I think Dallas should
Make whoever the guy with the giant ginger-stache on the sideline head coach.
Also: Is anyone else still watching this game?
At least the Seahawks didn't have the biggest losing deficit of the day.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
I don't want to brag, especially because I will never see the responses.
But I just had an amazing day in one of my fantasy leagues.
QB Aaron Rodgers – 27
RB Michael Turner – 22
RB Arian Foster – 31
RB/WR Peyton Hillis – 31
WR Braylon Edwards – 11
WR Mike Wallace – MNF
TE Dustin Keller – 5
D/ST Packers – 18
K Dan Carpenter – 3
TOTAL POINTS: 148 (Projected 162 with Wallace playing Monday)
Insane scoring and I don’t even get to see how it finishes. I don’t even get to insert Chris Johnson back in for the rest of the season (going to Basic Training) and it doesn’t bother me too much. This is a standard 10-team auction league, so it is legit.
Have a good season everyone.
SEA!
Heh, great work.
Is that an ESPN league? If so, you can add someone as a 2nd owner to take over for you when you leave so you can see how it plays out. Let me know if you need someone to take over that awesome squad.
This game was great for me
I have been a Pack fan before I was a Seahawk fan (came to Seatlle the same year Mike did) and great up in Dallas where I loathed the Cowboys…
Good bye Big Walt.
