The title and point of this post is simple. I don't care. I don't care about the future. I don't care about the playoffs. I don't care about the draft. I don't care if our coaches are the right guys for the job. I don't care for excuses and I don't care about pessimism or optimism. I don't care about spin and I certainly know the Seahawks weren't a good team coming in and that hurts.
I do care however, that Mathew Hasselbeck is probably playing his last stretch of meaningful games in a hawk uniform. I'm putting away all other considerations. I'm not wasting my energy on things I can't control, I'm putting away all the worries about tomorrow and years down the path for the pause at a closing door of a career that brought excitement and power to a franchise that had yet to enjoy anything as successful in its 35 year history.
Matt Hasselbeck may fade away these final 3 games, but I can only hope that it's a blaze of glory and that he has at least one more good salvo left in his guns and that the Rams lose. Let him go out with 70 wins and tie a franchise record and be remembered with some fondness when the battle of Bloody Santa Cruz reaches its final conclusion. One more win Matthew Hasselbeck, that's all I care about now.
