Seahawks Rank Dead Last in YAC Allowed

2010 YAC Allowed (per reception)
The simple answer for me here is to point to the one or two screen passes that go for big yardage every game. I'm at a loss as to why the team still has not adjusted to better defend against that particular play. I had spent the last 4 years getting used to Leroy Hill blowing up screen plays in the backfield. With him gone it seems we can't stop anyone from succeeding with it, but it cannot just be a personnel problem, right?
Of course bad tackling by the secondary on downfield pass plays doesn't help either.

Bend but don't.... oh.
THAT’S why the defense has been so bad, we give up the 3 yard check downs, but they give up the 6 yards after too.
Our DB's have been pretty terrible at tackling receivers,
or running backs out of the backfield, or anyone it feels like. Just that alone leads to being bad at a stat like YAC allowed.
I thought "Don't arm tackle" was the first thing you learned when you were a kid playing football.
This is like driving a car, but you don’t know how to put it into “drive”
Screens are definitely part of it
So are the 138 yards we gave up on four plays to the 49ers, none of which were screens. Those were just bad tackling and blown coverage. I swear, it’s infuriating to watch David Hawthorne just bounce in the middle of the field with nobody near him, staring at the QB while #1 WR’s run right past him.
I am not yet convinced coaching doesn't play a large role
True, we are probably one of the lesser talented defensive teams, but the coaches bear responsibility for scheme, teaching, preparing game plans and putting the talent we do have in position to make plays.
After watching Bradley’s defenses for the past couple years, I no longer think he and his coaches are getting the most out of the players we have.
