Around SBN: How The Kings Beat The Coyotes: Lather, Rinse, Repeat

I picked this up from Football Outsiders. It's a playoff scenario management system.

Bluntly: The Seahawks need to beat the Rams and the Niners. As long as they do that, they're probably going to the playoffs.

The Rams can still make it in if they beat the Niners, Saints and Chiefs in their other games, rendering the last game of the season irrelevant. I find this highly unlikely.

I don't think any team from this division deserves to go to the playoffs.

I hope we make it to at least 8-8 if we do. I can’t stand the thought of sneaking into the playoffs at 7-9 or something.

It's STILL great to be a Florida Gator!

There are several scenarios with a 7-9 NFCW champ

Almost all of them rely on the Seahawks losing to the Niners this weekend.

If the Hawks lose to the Niners this weekend, our prospects of another win this season are dim

Arguably, all the rest of the teams on the schedule are far better than the Niners. Of course, home field advantage does play a role, but less so if, for example, the Hawks fall behind early.

If the Rams have a bunch of turnovers or bad luck and/or the Hawks play their best game, I can see the Hawks beating them at Qwest though.

This thing is wicked cool

I have us 8-8 playing at home against Tampa in the first round.
