Should we bring in Marlin Jackson?
We probably aren't drafting a corner this year, we all agree we need to fix the D-line first, that our safeties are good enough, and our corners are okay. We have enough on the roster but the problem is that other than Trufant none of them are what would be classified as particularly good. I like Josh Wilson but his can be a problem and he is more of a nickel corner. So far he has visited the Eagles and Ravens without a contract and is on his way to the Jets who hopefully won't sign him.
Jackson not being signed by Baltimore
He had an ACL injury so there is a risk but I think we could get him and he makes our secondary a lot better if he is healthy.
I know there were some character risks, but charges were never filed, and he won the civil suit against and was awarded damages according to Wikipedia.

Marlin Jackson was not a CB for the Colts.
Like Antrel Rolle, he played safety. Unlike Antrel Rolle, he did not start.
Hmm...

If that were a batting average, you’d be hitting .000, IMO. Quarterback should be our #1 priority. Our defense needs upgrades everywhere but LB and Mebane’s spot.
That said, I think we should be looking at FA CBs. If we are continuing some Tampa-2 schemes, Jackson could be a fit due to his experience in the Colts’ defense. I have to think his injuries are a big concern. Our team has been derailed by injury and therefore more likely to draft younger Cornerbacks, sign UDFAs, then make a risky FA signing at the position. The Cornerback market is extremely thin now that Bodden has re-signed with NE.
You sir are sorely mistaken
While a Quarterback of the future is definitely a high priority, lineman to protect his untested behind are definitely a much higher rung on that ladder.

I'm not sure if Marlin Jackson is better than Seattle's existing talent or not
but if he is not terribly expensive, and he shouldn’t be, singing him would add a young talent at a position of need. Nothing wrong with bumping Kelly Jennings down another slot on the depth chart.
I really expected him to make a lot of visits.
Give me an offensive line or give me death!
