How do you feel about Spiller?
I've feel like I've seen Spiller going to Seattle in about every mock draft I've seen. Pat Kirwan's latest mock has him going at 6 and most seem to have him at 14. Say Carroll does draft Spiller, how would that make you feel?
Personally, I feel like Berry/Top DT/Clauford at 6 makes with a LT at 14, followed by a RB in the second makes more sense if the FO really wants to find a RB in the draft.

I don't care much about the running game
but if Spiller is good in the passing game and can block/blitz pickup then I’m all for it. I guess I don’t know how to much about him but it seems like their is a better direction for us to go then RB(in the first).
I've gone from being really high on him
to almost hoping we don’t draft him. I won’t quite go that far, but it just depends on what else we do. If we don’t get a QB and a tackle — no matter whether we land Whitehurst or Andersen or both — within the first 3 picks, but get Spiller, that won’t sit well with me.
He's a great running back,
which is something we don’t have. I’m hoping we go QB/LT though.
It's Great to be a Florida Gator!
The Arizona Cardinals' plan for success:
-Lose all talent on team to retirement and free agency.
-Call it a day.
Forsett was arguably our best player on the offensive side of the ball last year.
Or at least he was in my opinion.
I agree.
But that’s not saying a whole lot. Force is decent, but not a feature back.

I'd rather have Spiller than Berry
A good RB with an OT to open holes for him would be nice for who ever our QB would be next year. It would help our adequate receivers to have safeties also watching for the run.
If they took Spiller, the best OT available, and Lamarr Houston (I really like him) with 6,14, and 40 I’d be a happy fella.
Give me an offensive line or give me death!
Tough call.
I think he would be a wicked good improvement to our running back corps. I think we have more important needs to fill, and since running backs tend to run down faster than most other positions, I feel like a “long term” pick would be better than a “short term” one. Fix the O-line, D-line, and QB situation, and then worry about the running back. An OK one will work for the year.
However, if we pick him, I’ll give him my fan-power and will WILL him to succeed. It’s worked well for us the last couple of years. I think I helped Romo mess up that field goal a few years ago, but haven’t willed anything to happen since.
You best get to willin' Motherfucker!
Why the hell did ya stop!
RB's can translate their game
If we are going to invest a lot of money in someone I’d rather have it be for someone I know will succeed.

If the Whitehurst thing goes down they'll probably take Anthony Davis at 6 and then Spiller would be an obvious choice at 14.
If he makes it to 14.
I don't like Davis.
I think I’d take any first-round grade OT at 6 or 14 before Davis. Is that wrong?
I don't know. I remember there being reports that the Hawks were really interested in Davis.
I can’t find them now though so maybe I’m crazy.
I worry about him
reported to have a poor work ethic, who knows what happens when the show up in the NFL

If that mock draft is how Kirwan drafted I can see why he is out of the NFL
Give me an offensive line or give me death!
I certainly don't mind Spiller
Not since he’d help improve a rush, receiving and special teams.
I just can’t help but feel we have more pressing needs and positions in which this draft offers more quality (DL, OL). It’d feel like a bit of a reach, especially at 6.
It all goes down to who's available when we pick
I want us to take a QB and LT (providing we don’t reach)
but if they’re both gone then I’d settle for Spiller
I'm pretty ambivalent about Spiller.
I’m never one to see having an elite running back as a crucial piece of the puzzle that is an efficient offense, but it sure is nice to have someone in the backfield who is a legitimate threat to juke an opposing defender out of his jock at any place on the football field.
Since I don’t see this team as being THAT far away from being a contender (IF it takes steps to address QB and LT and DT), a “luxury” pick like Spiller could be a viable option.
God knows this team could use some flash on offense. We haven’t had any gamebreaking talent on “O” for a while, since Alexander at least, and that guy really rubbed me raw. I have to go back to Joey Galloway to find an offensive skill player on this team that got me really excited.
I'm indifferent.
Talents that I covet:
Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, Sam Bradford, Mike Iupati, Golden Tate, Earl Thomas, and Freddie Barnes
I think Seattle needs offensive weapons
and Spiller is a very good one worthy of mid first round pick. I think he runs tougher than people give him credit for due to his size. Now, I don’t see how we can take Spiller if we’ve traded for Marshall, unless we get Marshall for our 2nd rounder. And frankly, while some of you have soured a bit on Spiller, I’ve soured on Marshall. Hearing that the team captains asked McDaniels to sit him in week 17 tells me he doesn’t just have a relationship issue with his coach, but is poison to the locker-room. I hope we don’t trade for him, period.
Having said all that, if we could find a way to swing Bulaga, Spiller, and Demaryius Thomas with our first 3 picks, that would suit me just fine.
If I had to choose between Spiller and Marshall.
I’d have to take Spiller.
I understand that it takes time to develop a wide receiver. But Marshall worries me due to, er, detrimental behaviors.
I’d be OK with Bulaga and Spiller. But something about Thomas stands out to me. Was it an injury? I think we need at least one defensive player—a safety will need to be taken at some point in the draft, due to our recent safety release—and a defensive end, and a defensive tackle. There aren’t too many options that would make me mad, so Thomas is probably OK. But there might be a better options at wideout in round 2?
I would hit the panic button on Carroll if we made a trade for Marshall

I wish we could just hit the Easy Button.
But that’d be too easy.
Don’t be so cynical, Chicken Little!
Basically, I'd just punt the defensive side of the draft this year until the late rounds.
Trade a 2nd and 4th for Marshall, use #6 on Clausen, #14 on Spiller, trade back into the 2nd somehow, maybe using one of next year’s picks to get an O-Lineman, and call it good as far as true impact players come. I’d be satisfied with that offseason.
Offense takes two or three years to rebuild offense
defensive players typically take less time to develop than offensive players.

In a passing oriented league
I’d rather just take a mid round RB to pair with Force and work on a shiny new OL for them to run behind.
It seems like there are a lot of good RB's in this draft but no Adrian Petersons
I think I’d rather go mid level for a RB and think we need a new o-line
