Let's go Duke.

I’m curious as to what the proportion of Duke haters to Duke fans/non-haters is here.

by SeaTownBlueDevil on Mar 18, 2010 10:02 PM PDT reply actions

Somewhat ambivalent

I dislike UNC more.
But think that Singler looks like a douche.

by killacamkilla2 on Mar 18, 2010 10:05 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah, I hate UNC more, too.

It’s all the annoying white middle school kids who buy the UNC shorts and shoes thinking they are badass ballers. At least Duke apparel is limited to one area of the country.

Duke Hater

I’ve always liked UNC better, for no apparent reason. Plus I think it’s my mindset to like underdogs more than the teams that dominate all the time.

by seattle_since_81 on Mar 18, 2010 10:09 PM PDT up reply actions

Totally agree, underdogs are where it's at.

Thus I’m not a fan of either Duke or UNC, but i’d rather go with UNC. And Scheyer looks like a jerk too…and Singler…well their whole team.

by why's-guy on Mar 18, 2010 10:18 PM PDT up reply actions

Scheyer is a real good, family type of guy. Pretty nerdy too, he's like the new Shane Battier.

Singler is tough as hell. I don’t know all of them, but we haven’t had a real, huge, douchebaggery-dripping jerk since Josh McRoberts.

by SeaTownBlueDevil on Mar 19, 2010 10:39 AM PDT up reply actions

Not a big Duke fan.

But I do like UNC. I started watching them cause Hansbrough and Lawson were amazing players. Well, I suppose they still are, just for different teams now.

Also a die-hard Hawks fan.

Hate Duke

I think it started with Thomas Hill crying like a baby.

I saw a Kelly Jennings INT.......really....

Thank you.

So allow me to make the obligatory comment of:

HUSKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New Mexico here we come

by killacamkilla2 on Mar 18, 2010 10:04 PM PDT reply actions

UW has a very good chance of knocking off New Mexico.

The Kenpom ratings have UW has a pretty solid favorite. G-town screwed me a bit today as for tomorrow I think Temple Cornell should be good, Cornell lights it up from outside but Temple is the 2nd best team in the nation at defending the 3.

Also, March madness is the best!

by MFAN on Mar 19, 2010 12:27 AM PDT reply actions

Huskies have a real chance to crack the sweet 16.

Getting past that will be incredibly hard/unlikely unless a top team gets upset.. But they could get there.

Now with more lemon bars!

by Fear on Mar 19, 2010 12:34 AM PDT up reply actions

If WVU gets upset

the Elite 8 is a real possibility.

Now with more lemon bars!

by Fear on Mar 19, 2010 12:35 AM PDT up reply actions

Ya that's what I'm hoping.

UNM should be tough, but UW matches up well with them. If they learned anything from the Marquette game, it should serve them well against UNM.

But we really have to hope WVU gets upset.

by Fear on Mar 19, 2010 12:43 AM PDT up reply actions

Looks like one of UNM's players

has a sprained wrist that could keep him out of the 2nd round.

There is really nothing else like March Madness

The greatest sporting event of the year. My dad and I went last year in Portland (down from Vancouver Island where I live) and it was awesome. Not to mention I pretty much fell in love with Portland as a city. Even went golfing at Pumpkin Ridge because it wasn’t raining. Pretty sweet trip.

I think today was the best day of college basketball I've ever seen.

Not in terms of quality of teams but quality of games.

Also a die-hard Hawks fan.

Murray St-Vandy was awesome

As was UW-Marq and N. Iowa-UNLV. I can’t remember a more exciting NCAA bball day ever before. GO Dawgs!

by rossco17 on Mar 19, 2010 6:52 AM PDT up reply actions

Also agreed.

UW-Marquette was great, BYU-Florida was fun, Robert Morris got robbed by the refs and should have won, Murry State was good, Wake Forest-Texas was also intense thoughout. I didn’t even get to see N. Iowa-UNLV, but saw the highlights, and it looked great too. Montana hung in there too, but I never really expected them to win. Exciting though.

Man the Huskies were dead in the water two weeks ago,

now they have a real shot at the Sweet 16. The NCAA Tournament is great!

So Apropos

Oh wait, this thread is about the NCAA tourney . . .

Speaking of, how ’bout dem Dawgs? how ’bout Morgan St?

Let’s go Zags!

Shanghai Kelly's on Polk St. in San Francisco is the worst bar on the face of the earth (at least on Sunday mornings).

by elfaro47 on Mar 19, 2010 7:39 AM PDT reply actions

Err, no coffee in the morning makes elfaro47 something something

I meant Murray St. not Morgan St but if they can take out WV . . . excellent! Great filer investment for the tourney.

UCSB Gauchos Anyone?

A #15 taking on #2 Ohio St? It could happen. Let me tell you, if the Gauchos could somehow throw enough tortillas and win this game, there will be a lot of couches burning in my neighborhood tonight.

by Surf Hawk on Mar 19, 2010 9:05 AM PDT reply actions

I'll anwser my own question

UCSB looked like a high school team vs. Ohio St. Still, I was doing my Ole’s until the very end. Next year Gauchos!

I hate you, Siena.

I trusted you to get to the Sweet 16.

Wofford so close to beating Wisconsin.

Siena might as well of taken me and..

well you fill in the rest. Damn Purdue…. I trusted SI.com that said you would lose!

by Surf Hawk on Mar 19, 2010 10:43 PM PDT up reply actions

New Mexico State got jobbed

Terrible from the refs down the stretch. How can you not put time back on the clock?

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Sixteen!

Talents that I covet:

Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, Sam Bradford, Mike Iupati, Golden Tate, Earl Thomas, and Freddie Barnes

by Carl Shinyama on Mar 20, 2010 5:29 PM PDT reply actions

So...how 'bout them Huskies?

Not to mention a bit of Northern Iowa taking down Kansas to add on top of St Mary’s cutting the last thread of Villanova’s hopes. Good stuff!
