Nice Idea
I’m more concerned with the guys that are not in the top 100 and a few years down the line we are going to be scratching our heads and asking how the hell they weren’t drafted higher…. obviously we won’t know who they are for a few years though. Hopefully we get those guys in the next couple drafts.

I can't...
but I can’t speak for anyone else.
Can you hear me now?
Wait, wrong service provider…
It seems like there aren’t a lot of Pete Carroll connections in this draft. Am I crazy, or are we basically left with the USC players, and Clausen, McCoy, Berry, Suh, Kindle, Davis and Iupati?
I wonder what we can glean from this, if anything, about how our team might draft and what Carroll knows about these players.
Oh yeah, and Spiller.
He SPRINTED past me so fast, I didn’t see him there.

Sprinted past me?
And in other news the Rams next franchise QB Sam-sung the swan song of incumbent Marc Bulger.
Nick Reed's coverage map is better than Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint combined.

I suppose the question also has to do with recruiting vs. aggressive recruiting
Does recruiting mean sending them a letter, viewing tape, putting them on a list of players to observe in games, or does it mean bringing them in and actively pursuing them.
We know Carroll actively pursued Clausen but the Iupati thing interests me because he ended up at Idaho of all places.
6 - Williams/Bulaga, 14 - Spiller, 60 - Houston make me something...something
I'm not a fan of the Sprint thing, but I could deal with it a bit better if the logo wasn't so freaking huge.
As far as in-post advertisements go, they should be at least half the size of the Seahawks-relevant picture. Even if that means we have to double the size of Nick Reed…look out for those size 16 shoes!
And for a more relevant post, I'm with Zod
How in depth is the recruiting? I’m sure some prospects would be more heavily recruited, so wouldn’t that also play in somehow?
Not sure where else to ask
but has anyone else heard the rumor of Seattle signing Mike Williams and Ryan Powdrell? Both are former Trojans. Can anyone confirm?
Here is what I've seen:

Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Sam Bradford, OT Ciron Black*, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling**, RB Jonathan Dwyer
We resigned Spencer
Sounds like Williams and that other guy will get a shot at least.

John, I would like to see how this "top 100" was ranked at the time of recruitment
and how they compared to USC’s then position players (starters and depth).
So what if Pete didn’t recruit Sam Bradford; consider the stable of QBs he had.
Also, for a fair assessment I think you need to incorporate several years worth of data.
No f'ing way. But upon reflection I may have misinterpreted your intent.
I originally viewed your “idea” as a way to gauge Carroll’s talent evaluation skills. ie, How many of the player’s he recruited (then) are Top 100 NFL prospects (now). That may have been your intent and i would think it incomplete.
Now I am the opinion you want to see what knowledge of the Top 100 NFL prospects Pete Carroll brings with him from being a college coach.

Ken Norton
Off-topic, but I am very intrigued to see what effect Ken Norton Jr has on our defense.
In an interview the other day, David Hawthorne said there is a lot new in the defense, new terminology and new schemes. That was odd to hear since we have the same D coordinator and same D line coach as last year, so he is saying that PC and Ken Norton are already making big changes. Norton has a lot of talent to work with in his unit, especially considering Curry is still being taught to play a new role.
While the offense will be completely rebuilt, even the D is undergoing changes. Damn, its feeling like spring.
"Football players are temperamental. That's 90 percent temper and 10 percent mental." - Doug Plank
It may be that Bradley is only now truly in charge,
and that last year we ran Mora’s schemes.
That has me excited.
Early prospect watch: RB C.J. Spiller, QB Sam Bradford, OT Ciron Black*, DT Gerald McCoy, S Eric Berry, DT Ndamukong Suh, CB Ras-I Dowling**, RB Jonathan Dwyer
Or, the PM may be dictating to the MP.
Last year Norton ran Mora’s scheme, and this year is installing Carroll’s scheme. Norton has no scheme?
Walter Cherepinsky from Walterfootball.com is projecting the Seahawks to draft Trent Williams at #6.
And in his explaination for the pick he says;
Mike Mayock recently said that Williams would be a better fit for the Redskins than Okung. If so, then Williams and Seattle are a perfect match. It also doesn’t hurt that Carroll heavily recruited Williams coming out of high school.
I have no idea how you can find this kind of information, but it looks like there are differing reports out there.
