Both Williamses have plenty of work to do to compete in training camp for playing time. They just got Seattle's playbook on Monday. And playing shape will remain an issue for a while. Mike Williams said that before he began training in October he was doing "nothing, nothing important, nothing I can remember."

"I would say each of them would admit they have a ways to go, but I think they are heading in the right direction - personally and professionally," Seahawks general manager John Schneider said.

Were I a betting man...
I’d wager on Reggie before Mike.

I don't quite get it.
Reggie has the risk, but he does own an NFL track record.
A 10 TD year, two years with over 600 yards. Mike has like 250 yards total.
If I was a betting man (and I admittedly am), I’d require you give me odds if you want me to take Mike ahead of Reggie.

There are 12 step programs to everything.
It’s tough. We have proof that Mike has kicked fat and lazy, at least temporarily, by weighing 235 instead of 270. Unless he has found a way to trick the scale and eye, we know he’s at a better place now than before Titans camp.
We don’t really have proof that Reggie has kicked drugs and bad influences. Even if he tests negative for drugs, it sounds like a lot of players know how to mask it. And without a private eye, we don’t know who he hangs out with.
Of the two, it seems like Mike is able to prove that he’s gotten over his hangups better than Reggie. But the truth is that we don’t really know that this isn’t a quick payout motivation binge by Mike (put forth a few months of effort, get contract, go back to fat and lazy.) So, I’ll be interested to see if either or both of these guys hold on to jobs, and if they can retain focus and physicality for the duration.
I hope these guys work out, because I love redemption stories, and it’s even better when those redemption stories are in first round wideouts on your team.
