Friendly Advice?

Hey Seahawks fans, I have the honor of selecting for your team in BTSC's ongoing Mock Draft. I've been reading the posts so far during my waiting period to post, and like most fan bases there are varying opinions on who should be drafted in the first, with both draft choices. Let me start by letting you guys preview my pick, as I have it now, minus the player. I would like your feed back on your offseason recap as I see it, because no one knows your team better than you (obviously). Let me know if/ where I'm off, or where I missed anything, please.

Start off with a quick(ish) positional analysis. The Seahawks hired a new head coach and VP of football operations, and wouldn't you know it, they got one guy for both jobs, Pete Carroll. Coach Carroll wasted little time in making everyone aware that this is his team now. He traded back up quarterback Seneca Wallace to Cleveland, shipped DE Darryl Tapp to the Eagles for another DE Chris Clemons, signed several under the radar free agents, including LB Matt McCoy, RB Quinton Ganther, and former Steeler special teams ace Sean Morey. They also acquired former Clemson quarterback Charlie Whitehurst via trade with the San Diego Chargers. Pete Carroll also brought in several new coaches, including The "Godfather of The Zone Blocking Scheme" Alex Gibbs (who's draft history, as far as linemen go, can be found here), his O.C. from USC Jeremy Bates and new defensive coordinator Casey Bradley, With an all-time great, future Hall of Fame left tackle Walter Jones nearing the end of his career, and the release of starting safety Deon Grant, and what seems to be a continuous need for a solid receiving target, as well as a lack of a premier running back their needs are many. With that kind of change over, in terms of players and coaches, there is plenty of different directions I could go with this pick. So without further ado...

With the sixth overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, The Seattle Seahawks select:

And here's where you come in. Let me know who you think this pick should be. Prior polling had you guys selecting Jimmy Clausen, but only with around 35-40% support. I was wondering how that had changed, if at all, with the trade for Charlie Whitehurst. I also saw some strong support for CJ Spiller.

Positions I was targeting include tackle, safety, running back, and defensive tackle. I could also see you selecting a wide receiver and guard, although I think at 6 overall those are much more of a long shot pick.

Selected so far in our draft are Sam Bradford and Russell Okung. I will try and get back as often as possible in the next day or so to keep you updated as to who is gone and to continue the discussion as long as possible up until the pick itself. Thanks in advance for the help.
