Trade Info

Was for 2nd round pick in 2010, and a 3rd or 4th conditional pick in 2011

According to ESPN.Com Rumors, Trade talks also included Redskins possibly sending Albert Haynsworth, Or Laron Laury (sp?) But Eagles denied

I really don't like the Skins

But man would I love seeing McNabb succeed. So would everyone, I think, ’cept maybe Iggle fans.

That locks in the Skins for the top OT available?

Wow, trading your starting QB to a divisional rival.

Ballsy.

It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

The Arizona Cardinals' plan for success:
-Lose all talent on team to retirement and free agency.
-Call it a day.

Wonder if Jason Campbell becomes a possibility now...

Not necessarily for us. I just wonder if Washington will move him.

I sort of think Detroit will take him

But if they don’t…Then I don’t know. Fine, you got me, I forgot him alright!?

I kind of think that the Okung to Detroit stuff is an ego thing with the mock drafters.

It’s definitely possible but it’s my understanding that Schwartz runs a pretty traditional Tampa 2 and Suh would be way too good to pass up.

by Nate Dogg on Apr 4, 2010 9:17 PM PDT up reply actions

You're probably right

And I wouldn’t be for taking him over Suh, but them falling into the “passing on superior talent for ‘bigger need’” trap seems more likely than possible to me.

Wow
Phiadelphia now has the following picks: 24, 37, 55, 70, 87, 105, 121, 137, 200, 243, 244.

That would be fun.

Seven picks in first four rounds

Drool.

inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

by shams on Apr 4, 2010 9:42 PM PDT up reply actions

I'd rather have our picks...

5 in the first 4 rounds plus Detroits high 5th, and two in the top 14 overall.

But Philly must be disappointed they didn’t get much more than SD got for 3rd stringer Whitehurst.

  1. vs. #40, Philly gets a 4th next year (maybe a 3rd if McNabb has a great injury-free season), while we gave SD a straight 3rd no matter what. Yes, we did get the #60 back, but the value is pretty close.

When evaluating a trade, you really have to look at what the best thing each team got.
Philly got the #37 pick
Washington got McNabb
San Diego got the #40 pick
Seattle got Whitehurst

Hmmm... It did it again...

That indented “1.” is supposed to be “#37”… Must be some formatting magic that happens after you hit POST.

by Kryten on Apr 6, 2010 9:06 AM PDT up reply actions

Colt Brennan must be shocked. He had his chance to start and....

Seriously the Eagles could’ve gotten more for McNabb. I’m indifferent on who is the real trade “winner” here.

Sig bet record: 1-0.

If I'm McNabb, I'm pissed off.

For one, I just got traded away from one of the best collections of weapons in the NFL, in one of the most quarterback friendly offenses around.

For two, I’m on my way to a team that perennially sucks and has little to play with on offense outside of an aging running back.

At least I got away from whiny, unappreciative Philly fans.
