Formation: Two WRs (left), running back (left), tight end (right), WR (right), shotgun
Projected Personnel
-Running back: Leon Washington
-Right guard: Max Unger
-Tight end: John Carlson
Stages
1) Tight end motions in behind center and returns off right tackle.
2) Right guard pulls left; tight end pulls left behind line of scrimmage. Quarterback receives snap. Rusher awaits blockers. Right guard picks up defensive end / outside linebacker. Tight end pulls into second level. Rusher follows blocks towards the left sideline.

Seems like a great play for the personnel
Unger very mobile, Leon explosive, and Carlson good enough.
My guess Carlson is the TE because we wouldn’t be able to sell the play if it were Baker (or any other blocking TE)?

Yeah.
And like John was saying on another thread, Carlson’s perfectly adequate for blocking in the second and third level… it’s at the LOS that he’s a liability.

This play excites me.
God I hope SO BADLY that Leon is in good shape and comes into the season 100% and ready to go.
He’s SO EXCITING.
