Seahawks waive WR Matt Simon, sign RB Adrian Peterson
Former Bears RB Adrian Peterson that is.
Matt Simon was with the Hawks for all of two days.
Adrian N Peterson was a 6th-round pick of the Bears in 2002. He became an unrestricted free agent after not being resigned last season by the Bears. He spent last season primarily on special teams.

Adrian Peterson wasn't even good enough to get back into a backup role with the Bears last season
Even when Wolfe and Kevin Jones were injured. They used practice squad callup Kahlil Bell instead. I think he did some special teams work.
Camp body I guess? Honestly this signing makes no sense to me.
He's got a little size and Schneider has seen him a bit in the NFC North.
These signings continue to mean nothing.
Too bad that won't really affect how they do against us this season.
Though they sink through the Sea, they shall rise again...Death shall have no dominion...
I guess I should frame this specific demise
in terms of investing in over-hyped Unga only to have him placed on IR. It was the same satisfaction that I had when they shipped out two first round picks for Cutler and he became a pick-flinging grumpbot, though scaled down for the investment.

That half a second or so before I realized you meant *that* Adrian Peterson was glorious.
The seconds after that – not so much.

Remeber when he used to be good? Oh wait...
I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul - Invictus
Some further reading tells me he's been a special teams-contributor primarily since the 2007 season
And not bad at it. So is that why we got him? Competition at gunner?
No, this is Adrian Peterson the running back...
you know, from the NFC North. Don’t confuse the two.

We had a guy named Matt Simon!?
At wideout!? Why hadn’t I heard about him? Oh, I did? And I forgot? Ack.
Their going to need to be creative to make their is enough room for all these backs.

Although, you said "WAS lost on me"
So I suppose it had become obvious to you. Well played at any rate DJ.

I remember thinking that Peterson would be an interesting back to take a chance on in 2007.
But that’s mainly because there wasn’t a running back in the league that wouldn’t of been an improvement of Alexander.
I remember living in Denver watching Peterson destroy the Donkeys one year.
I think it kept them out of the playoffs, it was a crushing overtime loss for the donkeys, and I remember this one run he carried like 5 defenders forward and got an incredibly tough touchdown when Denver had to have a stop… only thing I ever saw him do was that game, but damn, what a game it was and that run is something I still remember years later. Better than total ignominy. I’ve always liked him since I saw that run…
I just looked at his wiki page and it recalls that run: “However, first string running back Cedric Benson sustained a season-ending injury on November 25, against the Denver Broncos.8 During the same game, Peterson scored his second rushing touchdown of the season, when he powered into the endzone despite being enveloped by several Bronco defenders.”

If the guy in Minnesota is "All Day"
what does that make our AP…“most of the morning”? “Sometime after lunch”?
inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Yep. LOTR reference in a thread about the inferior Adrian Peterson. DEAL WITH IT.
