Without Lofa in the, there is a big hole there. Earl just closed it hard.

Perhaps to keep another player at another position who could make a bigger impact
Especially if we keep 10 O-linemen and 4 TEs.
Like Forsett, Washington, Ganther & Schmitt?
Again, not totally against keeping JJ, but wouldn’t mind some roster flexibility.
Schmitt won't make the team unless they take 5.
This offense doesn’t need a Fullback.
by Scruffy Lefty on Aug 28, 2010 7:04 PM PDT up reply actions
Ganther makes this team even with Jones.
by Scruffy Lefty on Aug 28, 2010 7:00 PM PDT up reply actions
I know, and I'm not against keeping JJ around
But the Seahawks will lose one or two good players when we get down to 53….there are a few guys I’d rather keep around than Jones.
So we'll go into the season with only 3 players at the most violent position?
by Scruffy Lefty on Aug 28, 2010 7:03 PM PDT up reply actions
Probably a bad idea
But part of me wants Q/PM to think outside the box, when it comes to roster composition.
Right but its mostly irrational hate towards a player.
Just like the people that want to trade Branch.
by Scruffy Lefty on Aug 28, 2010 7:05 PM PDT up reply actions
I hate those people too
I’ve defended JJ more than once…but I just don’t think he has much of a future with the Seahawks. I’d hate to lose a good Leo end or offensive line man to keep him around for just another season.
Let me second that.
Until the middle of last season I was convinced Jones could produce. Not no more.
Though they sink through the Sea, they shall rise again...Death shall have no dominion...
lets see what was Jones good at vis a vis Forsett
he had excellent speed in open field and could pick up blitzes… who else on the team does that?

I always that that throwing while being sacked was a bad idea
Bryant went for the tackle and not the strip. I think he shoulda just tried to get the strip, but the pressure + incompletion is enough for me.

Especially after watching other teams preseason coverage on NFLN.
The Seahawks are the only ones that do the sideline interviews.
The Redskins have had plenty of sideline interviews during the games as well...
McNabb and others have been highlighted….Doc something has been on the sidelines doing the interviews

and there’s a lot of buzz around Michael Bush….the Raiders could be pretty decent this season.
