Leroy Hill has "significant" Achilles injury, will be down "for a while"
He's out this week.
In more positive news, Chester Pitts will practice at LG. But for this week we'll be starting the same line (Polumbus, Hamilton, Spencer, Andrews, Locklear).

You know what would be awesome?
If we could get Okung back. That’d be great.

I thought so, too.
The gamebook says Hamilton started and Gibson subbed in.

What are they doing with those two?
I know they’ve been kind of flip flopping between them, but why? Just a rotation thing?
Hamilton seems better than Gibson
Why was Gibson getting so much playing time
Significant
Is that code speak for needs to have surgery for a ruptured achilles and will be out at least 6 to 8 weeks.. maybe IR
Fade routes to Deion Branch only work against Kelly Jennings

Awesome!
Can’t remember the last time we started the same OL two weeks in a row, especially so early in the season. With Okung and Unger being young’ns we have a good mix of talent and potential in the line and only one player (Hamilton) that is older than 30. Since we need QB (probably) and pass rush (definitely) in the off-season, it’d be great if we only need late round depth in the OL.
Also, the Hammer was released by the Ravens. If we didn't have Milloy, I'd be interested
in signing him again.
Heh, that'd actually be kind of awesome.
Milloy is playing well enough though there isn’t much point.
The future (this season) now appears to be...
Okung, Pitts, Spencer, Andrews, Locklear. Assuming sufficient health. That’s not half bad, with the same assumption..
I do hope that they eventually swap Lock and Andrews.
Even though Andrews looked decent on Sunday, we all know that he’d be a better fit at tackle.
Looking at your projected lineup, I'm wondering if the Gibbs departure...
wasn’t mutual. This looks more like a traditional drive-blocking style of O-line.
QUESTION: Did anyone notice the line schemes on Sunday? I listened to a radio broadcast. I’m curious if it appears that the Seahawks are still employing a true ZBS or have adapted to something more hybrid with the new (and seemingly incongruent) additions to the line.

I was wondering the same thing
Overall, I haven’t ever seen the ZBS work for us anyway, and it is a self-fulfilling thing anyway. The ZBS is predicated on lots of runs early, setting up tired defensive lineman later in the game from having to get up over and over, after being cut down all game. If we aren’t running the ball enough throughout the game, then the whole premise falls apart. We still seem to be a pass-happy offense in any case, and running the ball consistently is even harder when you are continually playing from behind and when your defense can’t get 3rd-down stops and get the ball back to the offense in any case.
I’d rather see us get a bunch of huge maulers and man-up. But’s that’s just me. I’ve really like the push we have seen from Andrews, and I’d like to see more big, strong, nasty guys like him on the line. They may not be nimble and athletic enough to be able to pull and get on LBs and DBs effectively in the 2nd level, but at least we should be looking at some steady 4-6 yard gains instead of 0-2 yard gains mixed in with a few long runs. Large dirtbags for the win!
Isn't a tad bit ironic...
that Chris Spencer appears to be the “glue” for this current starting 5?

Hey, hey you're right.
Spencer is the solid-ish vet of that group, even considering Lock at RT. That is cool but kind of scary. I’ve always wanted Spencer to succeed, but its still strange seeing a line that includes him as something of an anchor. I guess thanks goes out to Mora and Ruskell for not cutting him for inferior dirtbagginess.
